The Regional Economic Development Center (REDC) announced earlier this month that it will host the THRIVE Competition Series, a collection of business competitions that will provide money and momentum to help growing small businesses thrive in New Hampshire. To commemorate its 30th anniversary, REDC will award $30,000 in grant prizes through four different competitions.

The first in the THRIVE Competition Series is a Business Plan Competition, which is now open for submission. New Hampshire companies at any stage are invited to submit applications by 5 p.m. May 31. For this virtual competition series, applicants will submit their written business plan, not to exceed 15 pages/slides, to be judged by a panel of experts in various fields of economic development. The winner will receive a $5,000 award to grow their business.

For those interested in participating, there is a Q&A webinar on May 15, at 10 a.m., for businesses looking for more information about the competition. Applicants will also have access to resources to assist in developing their business plans and information on other programs.

“For our 30th anniversary, we wanted to do something special that aligned with our mission,” REDC President Laurel Adams. “What better way to commemorate 30 years of supporting small businesses than by offering grants that can help Granite State businesses thrive? We believe this first competition will benefit the business that wins as well as all those who enter and work to develop and refine their business plans.”
