WHAT: The Chamber Collaborative of Greater Portsmouth is holding their Summer Detour, presented by Service Credit Union, with live entertainment, heavy appetizers, and the presentation of awards for members including Large Business, Small but MIGHTY Business, Volunteer of the Year, Collaborator of the Year and the Building a Better Community Award.

GIRLS INC. GRANITE STATE GOLF CHALLENGE

WHEN: Monday, August 8, 12 – 6 p.m.

WHERE: Nashua Country Club, 25 Fairway St., Nashua

WHAT: The Girls Inc. Granite State Golf Challenge offers an outstanding day of golf on Nashua Country Club’s 18-hole Wayne Stiles golf course. The tournament generates critical support for the thousands of girls who participate in Girls Inc. center and community-based programs. A breakfast snack and a boxed lunch will be provided with complimentary snacks and beverages served throughout the day. Golfers will receive a valuable golf-related gift, additional bonus gifts, and opportunities to participate in our silent auction and contests throughout the day. Delicious dinner selections are included immediately following golf along with the announcement of winning teams, 50/50 drawing, and special awards for men and women. You’ll discover why everyone wants to return to this special summer tournament year after year!

WHAT: Meet the creative women leading the charge for sustainable and compassionate business models that make real money. They’ll share their stories of how they use innovative approaches to achieve their vision of business as a force for good, harnessing the power of enterprise to address some of the most pressing issues of our time. The panel will be lead by Fiona Wilson, deputy chief sustainability officer, director at the Sustainability Institute and executive director of the Center for Social Innovation and Enterprise at the University of New Hampshire. This event will include time to explore Alnoba’s grounds and art collection while networking with other women and women-supporting business and nonprofit leaders.
