
1. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held recently for Primary Bank’s newest branch on Amherst Street in Nashua. U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan and Governor Chris Sununu were in attendance to celebrate Primary Bank’s work supporting small businesses and highlighting the importance of local banking for communities.

2. CASA of New Hampshire, a nonprofit that trains volunteers to advocate for children experiencing abuse and neglect, received a $76,163 donation from Boston Billiard Club & Casino, a charitable gaming facility featuring casino games and a billiard hall based in Nashua. 3. Milton CAT, a heavy equipment machine and engine distributor, donated $200,000 to White Mountains Community College’s Littleton Academic Center. The funds will support the Build Community Littleton Expansion including construction, equipment, infrastructure and program development.
The expansion is designed to help the college meet current and future workforce needs in the North Country by growing high-demand programs, improving access, increasing regional recruitment and deepening community integration. 4. Through a partnership with Granite United Way, Lakes Region Community College (LRCC) will receive a donation to support new scholarships for students interested in pursuing careers in the hospitality industry. The Susan and William Cutillo/ Path Resorts Scholarship Fund was established to serve as a long-term approach to building a pipeline of hospitality workers in the Lakes Region. The partnership will also provide students with a paid internship program at Path Resorts prior to completing the degree program. The scholarship funds will be distributed from Granite United Way through The Foundation for New Hampshire Community Colleges, the charitable organization dedicated solely to supporting New Hampshire’s seven community colleges and their students.

5. Over 4,000 attendees cheered on law enforcement and fire and rescue personnel as they took to the ice for the CHaD Battle of the Badges Hockey Championship, presented by AutoFair. Held on March 13 at SNHU Arena, this event helped raise $210,000 for the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD). 6. MVSB (Meredith Village Savings Bank) recently donated $1,500 to the Meredith Altrusa Club in honor of Women’s History Month.
