Dr. Amber Barnato, a physician researcher and professor at Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine, has been named the new director of The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice.

Barnato, who is dually trained in general preventive medicine, public health, hospice and palliative medicine, will lead a group of scholars, researchers, clinicians, students and administrators working to improve population health, reduce disparities and create highperforming, sustainable health systems.
