Throughout the day, one thing became clear: our LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs are lacking community. That’s why we’re building a network of queer business owners. Join us for the inaugural meeting where we’ll discuss the challenges and joys of being LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs. Share how you incorporate your identity into your business and what resources and connections you’d like to gain from joining a network like this.

COMPETITION RESEARCH FOR BUSINESS AND HOW TO BUILD A COMPETITION EVALUATION LIST

WHEN: Tuesday, July 2, 10 – 11:30 a.m.

WHERE: Virtual

WHAT: If you are not aware of what your competitors are doing, you really should be. In this SCORE workshop, you’ll learn how to build an evaluation list on your competition. We’ll be reviewing websites, Search Engine Optimization, links and directories, and competitors’ social media channels. You’ll learn what to look for and what to monitor on an ongoing basis. Presenter Heather Turner is a Granite Region Certified SCORE mentor. She spent 20 years cooking professionally and in 2003 started her own business (with the assistance of a SCORE mentor). She currently teaches social media and marketing for small businesses.

FUNDRAISER

GRANITE VNA HOSPICE HOME & GARDEN TOUR

WHEN: Wednesday, July 10, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

WHERE: Five homes in Wolfeboro and on Mirror Lake in Tuftonboro

WHAT: The Hospice Home & Garden Tour features three homes in Wolfeboro and two in Tuftonboro. One of the Wolfeboro homes is only accessible by a shuttle bus departing every 20 minutes from Estabrook Hall on the Brewster Academy Campus; tour participants may visit the homes in any order. The homes offer a variety of architectural styles and modern comforts. All proceeds from ticket sales will directly support Granite VNA hospice services.
