Of the total respondents, 92% said they “definitely” or “probably” believe their direct manager supports PTO usage. But only 36% “always” use their allotted PTO each year — 37% worry PTO usage will impact their job security.

NEW Hampshire’s Rockingham County is the most generous in the state, or so says a recent report from SmartAsset. To determine this, the report measured both county populations’ charitable contributions as a percentage of income and percentage of returns that itemized charitable contributions. Rockingham respectively scores at 0.90% and 8.30% for these figures.

ABOUT 86% of employees are scared of their HR department, according to a survey by resume consultants MyPerfectResume.com. Of 1,000 U.S. workers surveyed, 85% said they hesitate to approach HR professionals to discuss work issues, with the top reasons being lack of confidentiality, perceived ineffectiveness of HR, and their department’s lack of approachability.

COOKING website The Cookie Rookie conducted a nationwide study of takeout food by state, finding that Granite Staters spent the second most on takeout food in 2022 after Hawaii and above Maine. New Hampshire residents spend an annual $5,190, though the report adds that the state is sixth in most online search results for home cooking-related keywords.
