RECENT Gen Z college graduates are facing challenges in the workplace, a February survey of graduates ages 21-27 found. Intelligent.com reports that 87% have had difficulties, a third of recent grads have already switched jobs, and 4 in 10 Gen Z employees are on a performance improvement plan after receiving negative feedback from managers.

BUSINESS advice company Venture Smarter ranked New Hampshire seventh in the nation for small businesses that pay the best salaries. With an average salary of $49,351 in businesses of 5-9 total employees, the Granite State is 10% above the nationwide average. For businesses of 10-19 employees, the state is tenth, with an average of $50,800 in salary.

THE majority of Americans (74%) now live in a state where marijuana is legal for either recreational or medical use, the Pew Research Center found in a recent analysis. California, the first state to legalize medical marijuana in 1996, has the most dispensaries of any state at 3,659 — more than double Oklahoma, the second-highest-ranking state.

NEW Hampshire has the second-largest gender pay gap of all states, according to a Forbes Advisor report, behind Wyoming and ahead of Utah. Men in the Granite State earn an annual average of $68,566, while women earn $51,880 — a $16,686 per year gap. The report indicates that, because of gender pay gaps nationally, women contribute 30% less funds to their retirement accounts than men, and they earn 16% less than men on average.

ACCORDING to Pew Research Center surveys of adults in 25 countries, Germany has the greatest differential of adults who use the internet (93%) vs. those who use social media sites (51%). That gap includes young adults under 40, only about 79% of whom are on social media. The U.S. was not included among the countries surveyed due to measurement differences.
