DOVER: Wentworth-Douglass Hospital has been named among the best hospitals in the nation for patient experience, for the 11th time consecutively, by health care data company Healthgrades. The award is typically given to those ranked among the top 15% of eligible hospitals who consistently provide high-quality patience experiences. Wentworth-Douglass was the only hospital on the Seacoast honored this year, and one of only two awarded in the state.

CONCORD: Xfinity recently announced that their internet customers in New Hampshire are now receiving faster speeds at no additional cost. For example, Connect members are receiving double the internet speed, which has increased from 75 megabits per second (Mbps) to 150 Mbps through this latest speed boost. In addition, Xfinity’s xFi Advanced Security is offered for free to help protect users from malware and other threats. Since its launch, xFi has stopped more than 10 billion cybersecurity threats.

BEDFORD: A recent press release has announced that SolutionHealth CEO Bradley Kreick will be retiring effective April 12. Before joining SolutionHealth in 2021, Kreick held multiple roles in health care provider and payor organizations, such as Apria Healthcare, Oxford Health Plans and Healthsource, Inc. He is the chair of the board of trustees for Rivier University in Nashua, and is also a current board member of AccessHope. SolutionHealth’s chief legal officer John Friberg will become interim CEO once Kreick departs.

BANGOR, MAINE: Mission Broadband, a broadband planning provider in New England, has promoted Jason Gay to vice president and general manager. He initially joined the firm in 2020 as a network engineer and project management expert, and will now focus on overseeing broadband infrastructure consulting work within the company. Over his 24-year telecommunications career, Gay continues to specialize in IT, network operations, engineering and strategic planning.

MANCHESTER: The NH Community Action Partnership (NHCAP) was recently awarded a grant from the Office of Community Services (OCS) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to expand its current diaper distribution services to families in need. Using the $1,193,846 awarded, NHCAP will distribute diapers and supplies to regional distribution centers around the state to ensure families in the community have the proper supplies to keep their children healthy.

CONCORD: Last month, the NH Department of Information Technology (DoIT) Commissioner Denis Goulet and Robert Buxton, the director of the Department of Safety’s Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEM), signed the state’s Cyber Incident Response Plan. The plan outlines the response and recovery to cyber incidents in New Hampshire, and identifies the responsibilities of agencies involved. Goulet stated that the plan “will serve as a framework for future incidents and allow us to minimize the impact of cyber incidents in the state.”
