U.S. workers ages 50 to 64 (55 percent) and 65 and older (67 percent) are more likely than young workers ages 18 to 29 (44 percent) to say they are extremely or very satisfied with their job overall, based on findings from a recent Pew Research Center survey. Sixty-five percent of employed adults ages 18 to 29 say they’re extremely or very satisfied with their relationship with their co-workers, and 62 percent say the same about their relationship with their manager or supervisor.

A recent survey conducted by ResumeBuilder.com shows how societal expectations may be influencing Americans’ perception of work from home. Findings concluded that 30 percent say working remotely makes you more family oriented versus career oriented. Seventeen percent say working from home means you’re less serious about your career, and 13 percent indicated working from home is more appropriate for women than men.

NEW survey data from Tech.co revealed that 47 percent of company decision-makers are considering using AI tools to carry out tasks instead of hiring new employees. The survey also showed that business leaders believe that more than a quarter of their current workload can be completed by AI, and 52 percent said AI tools like Chat-GPT could never replace an entire role in their business.

BROOKSTONE, a retailer of personal care, travel and home products, was revealed to be the most-loved consumer brand in New Hampshire, according to data compiled by OnDeck. The most-loved consumer brand in New England was Darn Tough Vermont, a popular sock manufacturer. L.L. Bean is the most positively received brand for Maine, and Big Y was the most loved brand for Massachusetts.

MERCHANT Machine evaluated chain stores versus small businesses in each state, and found that 37 percent of New Hampshire’s businesses are independently owned, which unfortunately makes New Hampshire the No. 1 state where chain stores outnumber locally owned stores.
