RUN2RESCUE 5K TO SUPPORT SERVICE DOGS FOR VETERANS

WHEN: Sunday, May 7, 9 – 11 a.m.

WHERE: 24 Stadium Dr., Nashua

WHAT: Run a quiet 5K through Mine Falls in Nashua to help support Operation Delta Dog — one of the few races that you can take your leashed four-legged running buddy along! The event will feature a DJ and finish-line photos for all runners. All money raised goes directly to providing service dogs for veterans through Operation Delta Dog. Sponsorships still available.

COST: $35 before April 30, $45 on May 1; $25 veterans and veterans with one dog; $25 for youth 15 years and younger

NH BUSINESS COMMITTEE FOR THE ARTS 2023 ANNUAL ARTS GALA

WHEN: Monday, May 8, 5 – 8 p.m.

WHAT: Throughout the year, the NHBCA works with partners in the business and arts communities to develop projects and programs that enhance the public’s engagement with the arts. In addition to celebrating the award winners, the Arts Awards Gala demonstrates the power of collaboration by bringing together highly creative individuals to produce an immersive art experience that inspires guests well beyond the event. The event includes a networking reception featuring the creation of improvisational paintings by Lebanon-based Roger Goldenberg alongside live music. A seated meal will be served followed by the awards ceremony and a full dance performance.

UPPER VALLEY BIPOC NETWORK 2ND ANNUAL SOCIAL EVENT

WHAT: The Upper Valley BIPOC Network invites all persons of color residing within the greater Upper Valley region of Vermont and New Hampshire to attend an evening of networking and fellowship. The purpose of the social is to provide an opportunity for members of the BIPOC community to make connections, meet new people, share stories and begin building a community in the Upper Valley. Appetizers and a drink ticket are included for all attendees (over age 21 for any alcoholic drinks). Child care will be available during the event. The Upper Valley BIPOC Network is an initiative under the Upper Valley Business Alliance in partnership with Dartmouth College, Dartmouth Cancer Center, Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine, and Dartmouth Health.

CONCORD CONNECTS TO IMPACT UKRAINIAN YOUTH

WHAT: Wake up with the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce for a special business community breakfast. Join former NH Gov. John Lynch and Granite State hospitality industry leader Alex Ray for a discussion on how to make humanitarian causes our business – sharing how creative partnerships and impactful connections can effect change with an efficiency the business community knows best. The co-founders of nonprofit Common Man for Ukraine will share how four New Hampshirites ended up in a war zone and inspired 3,000 individuals and businesses to provide $2.5 million for food, generators and trauma counseling to Ukrainian orphans and displaced children struggling to survive the war – recognizing and highlighting the vital role Concord’s business community will play in the next phase of relief. This event is generously sponsored by The Duprey Companies and New Hampshire Public Radio.

WHAT: New Hampshire’s largest gathering in support of individuals who are blind and visually impaired is a 1-mile loop through Concord, starting and ending on the State House lawn. The event includes speakers, raffles, a DJ, and fun photo opportunities. This year’s grand marshal is none other than NH native Calle Walton, a young actress starring in the CW Network’s hit show “In The Dark.”
