1. On April 19 at Manchester’s Rex Theatre, FEEDNH.org donated $165,000 to 11 high school culinary programs ($15,000 to each school) — which puts the charitable trust over the $1 million donated milestone. 2. AARP New Hampshire hosted more than 100 volunteers at a celebratory lunch held at the Derryfield Country Club in Manchester to present the Andrus Awards, which honors Granite Staters over 50 who make a difference in their communities. This year’s Community Service award was given to Marc Boyd, an educator and AARP NH volunteer from Bow, pictured here with AARP Volunteer State President Patrick McDermott (right).



3. Meredith Village Savings Bank (MVSB) has been named one of New Hampshire’s 2022 top lenders by the Registry Review, based on data collected by the Warren Group that ranks total loan dollar volume and total number of loans closed by banks, credit unions and mortgage companies in the state. MVSB ranked as follows: No. 1 bank for number and volume of single-family purchase loans; No. 1 bank for number and volume of condominium purchase loans; No. 3 bank for volume and No. 5 for number of multifamily purchase loans; and No. 4 bank for number and volume of residential nonpurchase loans.



4. The Granite YMCA recently received a $10,000 grant from Northeast Delta Dental in support of the Youth & Government Gala and Fuel Our Families, which provides 900 meals per week to over 2,800 people in southern New Hampshire, at no cost to participating families. 5. Bank of New Hampshire gifted donations to three local organizations: $10,000 to the Gilford Educational Endowment Fund, $5,000 to the Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter, and $5,000 to the Whitefield Public Library. 6. In collaboration with Granite United Way and the City of Manchester, WellSense Health Plan donated $10,000 to the Manchester Relief Fund to help provide shelter and services for unhoused individuals in Manchester. Farmsteads of New England received $7,000 in tax credits from Meredith Village Savings Bank (MVSB) to aid in the construction of its Redberry Farm Supportive Housing Project in Epping, which will create housing for 27 individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
