Nathan Wechsler & Company, PA, has announced the recent promotions of Duncan Rae to senior and Renee Sullivan to manager. Rae joined the firm in 2020 as an associate, and Renee joined the team in 2021.
NONPROFITS
Philip Himberg, the MacDowell artist residency program’s executive director since June 2019, will be stepping down from the position at the end of the year. Himberg joined MacDowell after 23 years at the Sundance Institute, where he guided its theater program.
The NH Business Committee for the Arts and the Institute of Art & Design at New England College in Manchester are collaborating to produce an augmented reality exhibition in the NHBCA’s App AR+ art. As part of a grant provided by TD Charitable Foundation, the NHBCA will produce “New Frontiers in Art,” an augmented reality experience highlighting the school’s art programs and students’ original artwork in a virtual gallery. In the exhibition, the app developers will create 3-D digital models of original artworks created by students, alumni and faculty and then render them in augmented reality.
The Foundation for New Hampshire Community Colleges has named Dwight Davis as the newest member to its board of directors. He is current president of the Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire board of directors, chair of the New Hampshire Center for Justice and Equity, and a founding member of the Business Alliance for People of Color. In 2014, he opened Senior Helpers of Southern New Hampshire, a non-medical, in-home care company.
The NH State Council on the Arts has awarded $70,600 to New Hampshire organizations through its fiscal year 2023 Arts in Health grant program, which helps meet the needs of underserved populations, including the elderly, people with disabilities, people in recovery and people with behavioral health or other acute or chronic health diagnoses. Recipients are: Concord Hospital, Inc.; Community Church of Durham; Exeter Regional Cooperative School District/SAU 16; Hillsboro-Deering School District/SAU 34, Hillsborough; AVA Gallery and Art Center, Lebanon; Manchester Community Music School; Currier Museum of Art, Manchester; Nashua Community Music School; Victory Women of Vision, Manchester; Bach With Verse, Nelson; Articine, Newfields; Concord Community Music School; New Hampshire Theatre Project, Portsmouth; and Racial Unity Team, Stratham.
GOVERNMENT
The NH Liquor Commission has been named one of the top 10 retailers in the country for the third year in a row by Beverage Dynamics, a national magazine covering off-premise beverage alcohol retailers. NHLC, which operates 66 NH Liquor & Wine Outlet locations throughout New Hampshire, was the only control state operation in the country to be named one of the top 10 retailers.
TECHNOLOGY
Position Imaging Inc, a package logistics and asset tracking technology company, has added Lucas Carvalho to its team as senior vice president of operations. Previously, he was executive vice president of corporate resources at BAMSI for 17 years.
The U.S. Department of Commerce has announced that Manchester is one of 20 winners of the Build Back Better Regional Challenge, earning the city a $44 million federal grant.

MarketReach Inc., a provider of creative services for B2B technology companies, has received a Viddy Award for its own “Ditch the complex. Choose simple” marketing video and a Dell Technologies Solutions for Oracle video.
The company also received a platinum dotCOMM Award for a Dell EMC PowerEdge T550 video, along with an honorable mention for redesigning the Raphael website. The organization has also won Hermes Creative Awards for the same projects as well as gold and platinum Communicator Awards for creative designed for NetApp.
Manchester-based digital marketing company wedü has acquired Granite River Studios to expand its video production capabilities. Granite River Studios is located in Derry, offering traditional video, animation, livestream event production, online content creation, scriptwriting and storyboard creation. It will continue to run independently under the existing brand while expanding crew, equipment and service offerings.

Toni Ciampaglione was promoted to vice president, financial advisor and team leader for NHTrust. Based out of the Keene branch of Savings Bank of Walpole, she will supervise and manage financial advisors for the organization.
Thomas Conaton of Bedford was recently promoted from senior vice president to executive vice presidentsenior loan officer at Primary Bank. Prior to joining Primary, he served as a business banking team leader with Eastern Bank and also played a role in the growth of Hampshire First Bank prior to its acquisition.
Millyard Bank, Nashua, has announced that Bob Friedburg of Bedford and Craig Jones of Hollis were recently elected to its board of directors. Friedburg has spent his nearly 40-year career in various information technology-related roles with local, regional and international companies.
Jones most recently served as senior vice president of Bottomline Technologies in Portsmouth.

Garry Cornelius has joined the home lending team at Merrimack County Savings Bank as vice president of residential mortgage sales. Based out of The Merrimack’s main office in Concord, Cornelius will lead mortgage lending efforts and expand opportunities across Central and Southern New Hampshire.
Dennis Cote, vice president and senior mortgage loan officer at Bank of New Hampshire, has been recognized as a Top 10 Lender by the NH Housing Finance Authority. The award was given to the lenders who assisted the most homebuyers through New Hampshire Housing programs in 2022. It is the second consecutive year Cote has earned the honor.
NH Federal Credit Union has appointed Thomas Weaver to senior vice president, chief lending officer, and Rodney Dauteuil to vice president of compliance. Both bring thirty-six and thirty-five years, respectively, of financial services expertise to their roles.
TELECOMMUNICATIONS
UScellular has added 5G service to two cell sites in Cheshire County, including the towns of Alstead and West Swanzey through a $600,000 investment. The sites enhance UScellular’s network in the towns and are among the more than 200 sites the wireless carrier has across the state.
Ookla, a global network intelligence and connectivity insights leader, has named Xfinity the fastest internet provider in New Hampshire. The recently published Speedtest Global Index rankings, based upon consumer testing of internet services in the U.S. in Q2 2022 through Ookla’s speed test website, showed Xfinity coming out on top in 12 states across the country, more than any other provider by a wide margin.
EDUCATION
U.S. Performance Academy, an online middle and high school for high-performance student athletes, has launched its Elite Talent Scout Partnership, designed to help athletes in grades 6-12 achieve success both academically and athletically by partnering with coaches, mentors and sports agents who connect young athletes with the school.
REAL ESTATE
Access Hotels and Resorts, owners of the Inn at Thorn Hill and Spa in Jackson among other properties, has acquired the nearby Christmas Farm Inn and Spa in Jackson. Sale price was not provided. Sellers were Sandra and Gary Plourde, who were represented by Realtor Earle Wason of Wason Associates of Portsmouth Access based in Florida, which bought the Inn at Thorn Hill in October 2019 for $3.2 million. All told, it owns or manages 13 other hotel properties around the country.
Boston-based real estate investment and development firm Foxfield has acquired a 100,450-square-foot industrial/flex property on 15 acres at 21 Northwestern Drive in Salem for $14.9 million. Chris Healey of The Boulos Company represented Foxfield in the off-market purchase.
Prolman Realty has announced the sale of 74 Northeastern Blvd. Units 13 & 14 Nashua to Sirra Holdings LLC. Lisa Ferrari represented the seller, Tescelani Holdings LLC. She said the 4,800-square-foot office condominium in the Northbridge Business Center will be occupied by Arris Realty, which will upgrade and utilize the main 2,400-square-foot level. The lower 2,400 square feet will be leased back by Netlogic Computer Consulting LLC for an initial term of five years. According to the Hillsborough Country Registry of Deeds, the sale price was $350,000.
Michael F. Reed of Stebbins Commercial Properties has announced the lease of 2,500 square feet of industrial space at 8 Industrial Park Drive, Hooksett, to Veteran Pro Concrete Pumping LLC of Auburn. Reed represented Marcel and Cynthia Mercer, the owners, and NAI Norwood represented the tenant in the transaction. Reed also announced the sale of a development site on Old Bedford Road, Bedford, by The Roman Catholic Bishop of Manchester to LaMontagne Builders of Bedford. Reed represented the seller and assisted the buyer in this transaction. According to the Registry of Deeds, the sale price was $2.81 million.

Merchants Fleet team members Brad Jacobs, vice president of fleet consulting and product development, and Hari Nayar, vice president of electrification and sustainability, have been recognized by the Business Intelligence Group’s 2022 Sustainability Awards for their work on Merchants’ revolutionary fleet electrification program, which provides resources and insights to help clients make a seamless and costeffective entry into buying electric vehicles.

Dr. Jeffrey Rosenfield has joined The Physicians of Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics practice, bringing experience with upper extremity surgery, including endoscopic carpal tunnel release, arthroscopy and joint replacement of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand.
Granite VNA has appointed attorney Steven Whitley of Drummond Woodsum and Natalya Pearl of Bangor Savings Bank to its board of trustees. Whitley resides in Hopkinton, where he serves on the select board. Pearl joined Bangor Savings Bank in 2020 and serves as vice president and senior relationship manager. In addition, Granite VNA has named Lois Krempel its director of home care. She previously was Granite VNA’s field staff nurse for two years.

Manchester-based Outdoor Pride Landscape & Snow Management has been named by the Snow & Ice Management Association as one of the country’s “Best Places to Work” in the industry. Outdoor Pride, which employs more than 100 full-time, year-round employees and approximately 250 seasonal employees, earned the distinction as part of SIMA’s 25th annual Snow & Ice Symposium awards program. The company, which also has offices in Chelmsford, Mass., and satellite locations throughout the region, provides commercial snow management, landscape installation and ground management services throughout southern and central New Hampshire and northern and eastern Massachusetts.

AMETEK Haydon Kerk Pittman has announced that its Milford plant recently reached the milestone of five years without a lost-time accident, as defined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Under OSHA guidelines, employers with more than 10 employees are required to keep a record of serious work-related injuries and illnesses resulting in “lost time,” or time away from the job.
Kaitlin P. Murphy has joined the Manchester office of Sheehan Phinney as a member of the firm’s Corporate and Health Care Groups. She represents healthcare clients on compliance matters and assists business clients with mergers, acquisitions and other transactional matters.

The Concord-based law firm of Orr & Reno has announced the addition of a team of trust and estate lawyers from the former Flood, Sheehan & Tobin firm. Ann Meissner Flood, Virginia Symmes Sheehan, Laura E. Tobin and Marcia Hennelly Moran each have more than 30 years of experience in the field. Attorneys Flood, Sheehan and Tobin join Orr & Reno as shareholders, and Moran, who works primarily on trust administration, joins the firm as of counsel.
