1. Manchester community members Ellie Cochran and Charlie Goodwin are the recipients of this year’s Davison Award for Philanthropy, given by the Mary & John Elliot Charitable Foundation and Elliot Health System, recognizing their generosity to the Elliot Health System, as well as tireless efforts to serve as an ambassador, bring parties together for the greater good and work to make the Manchester region better for all. 2. The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester (MHCGM) earned first-place honors and $10,000 in the 2022 Impact Awards, presented by the Red Sox and Rudderman Family Foundations. The IMPACT Awards allow Red Sox fans in New England the chance to vote for their favorite local nonprofit organization to win a grant from the Red Sox Foundation. In 2022, the IMPACT Awards focused on organizations that have demonstrated deep impact in raising awareness and improving the mental health outcomes in their community.



3. Associated Grocers of New England (AGNE) raised over $40,000 during its annual charity golf tournament on June 15, and Kellogg’s also donated 29 pallets of food (equating $35,000) on behalf of AGNE to support the NH Food Bank’s statewide efforts to eliminate food insecurity. 4. Members of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Point32Health volunteered last month at Girls at Work, Inc. in Manchester as part of the company’s annual Volunteer Week to build and install raised garden beds for the main entrance, build and install window boxes on the building’s access ramp, and prepare the woodworking workshop for Girls at Work, Inc.’s summer camps. More than 1,200 individuals participated in Point32Health’s Volunteer Week supporting 49 nonprofits in New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island.



5. Bar Harbor Bank & Trust (BHBT) recently donated $2,500 to Marguerite’s Place, a nonprofit whose mission is to help women with children achieve self-sufficiency by providing them with safe, stable, transitional housing along with emotional, educational and supportive services. The money will be used to support individual resident needs and supportive group programming. 6. Liberty, a utility company that supports small and mid-sized communities throughout the country, was awarded the American Gas Association’s (AGA) Safety Achievement Award for the first time on May 4. The award is granted to the safest combination energy company for employees and customers alike in multiple categories based on company size and utility portfolio.
