1. NHTrust supported the NH Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, the umbrella organization for the state’s 12 community-based crisis centers, with a $1,000 contribution. The Coalition is committed to creating safe communities through advocacy, prevention and empowerment of anyone affected by sexual violence, domestic violence, stalking and human trafficking. 2. Plymouth State University (PSU) recently honored a few individuals and one organization with Campus Compact for NH’s Presidents’ Awards and Newman Civic Fellowship. Recipients were: Presidents’ Leadership Award, Eliana Jones (pictured here), a PSU Class of 2022 graduate from Hyde Park, Mass.; Presidents’ Good Steward Award, Dr. Katherine Wolsiefer, assistant professor of psychology at PSU; Community Partner Award, Best Buddies of New Hampshire in Plymouth; and Newman Civic Fellowship, Emily Infinger, a PSU senior from Rochester, NH.



3. Meredith Village Savings Bank (MVSB) recently donated $25,000 to support Humble Grunt Work’s capital campaign to build a new Meredith Veterans Memorial, which will feature the names of all Meredith residents who honorably served throughout all U.S. conflicts since the Revolutionary War. The monument will be located on the Meredith Public Library’s front lawn. 4. Bar Harbor Bank & Trust (BHBT) employees recently presented $12,000 in donations from the Bank’s employee-driven charitable giving program, Casual for a Cause, to five nonprofit organizations in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont: Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center and The Ark Animal Shelter in Maine; Monadnock Area Transitional Shelter in New Hampshire (MATS); and Otter Valley Activities Association and White River Valley Education Association in Vermont. 5. Liberty ceremonially “switched on” their new electrical substation located at Tuscan Village in Salem, which represents Liberty’s capital investment in New Hampshire electrical infrastructure, with an estimated cost of $35 million over 10 years, expanding the distribution capacity of the Salem-area electric grid by 50MW, or a 100 percent increase. Electricity provided through the new infrastructure will be used by every resident and business in the greater Salem area. Pictured, from left: Gov. 6. Ellie and David Cochran (pictured) will be honored for their positive impact on the greater Manchester community at The Moore Center’s Garden Party event on June 23. The Moore Center holds this annual event to raise funds and awareness for the organization’s mission to serve people with intellectual, developmental and personal challenges, and create opportunities for a good life. The Cochran’s have been involved with the Center since the 1980s and later joined the board of directors.
