1. Alene Candles, a full-service contract and private-label home fragrance manufacturer, has donated $40,775 in support of Mayfield Consumer Products candle factory employees and their families who were impacted by the tornado on December 10, 2021. Alene’s employees donated nearly $8,000 to the victim relief fund. The company matched the donations made by its New Albany, Ohio, and Milford, NH, employees, and its owners made a $25,000 contribution as well.



2. Douglas Cuddle Toys, the Monadnock Broadcasting Group/KNE-FM and Savings Bank of Walpole (SBW) raised $29,500 during their Good Friends campaign to benefit Monadnock Understands Childhood Hunger (MUCH). The Good Friend campaign took place around the holidays, when a total of 2,950 stuffed animals were sold for $10 each at all SBW branches with proceeds from each sale going to benefit MUCH, a nonprofit that addresses childhood hunger in the Monadnock Region. 3. The Common Man restaurants’ Kindness for Kentucky fundraiser donated more than $56,000 to the Do Good effort, which was matched by the hospitality family for a total of more than $112,000 raised to help Kentucky residents displaced by the December tornado. Common Man Owner Alex Ray and volunteers from New Hampshire visited Mayfield, Ky., to deliver a trailer full of clothing and goods donated by Bridge House Ladders Thrift in Plymouth, NH. They also spent a week working at World Central Kitchen’s large-scale food operations, feeding hundreds of tornado victims and first responders daily.



4. Meredith Village Savings Bank has donated $15,00 to the Santa Fund of the Greater Lakes Region to support their mission of providing community assistance to children in need in the Lakes Region. 5. Merrimack County Savings Bank purchased $5,000 in CDFA tax credits in support of Family Promise of Southern NH in Nashua. Funds will go toward their Building Home, Building Hope Capital Campaign, which funds the renovation and expansion of their transitional residence facility for local families experiencing homelessness. 6. As part of the 2021 TD Ready Challenge, TD Bank donated $325,000 to MY TURN to support its Project Complete initiative that addresses the school dropout crisis created by the Covid-19 pandemic and increases youth workforce participation within Manchester. Through career exploration, occupational training and academic instruction, the organization provides alternative pathways to high school completion for students who suffered from learning loss and disengagement amid the health crisis.
