1. On July 29, Boston Billiard Club & Casino celebrated a major milestone, surpassing $10 million in donations to the New Hampshire-based nonprofit. Each day, in line with the Lottery Commission’s Charitable Gaming regulations, Boston Billiard donates 35% of its proceeds to a local 501(c)(3) organization. At the “$10 Million Bash” were Nashua Mayor Jim Donchess, Lottery Director Charlie McIntyre and representatives from nonprofits including The Rotary Club of Nashua, United Way, CASA of NH, Nashua Senior Center, The Front Door Agency and Boys & Girls Club of Manchester.

2. In May 2021, Salem-based Fabrizia Spirits, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits and the New Hampshire Liquor Commission teamed up to raise $15,000 to support New Hampshire Foster & Adoptive Parent Association and the expansion of Sibling Connections into New Hampshire, a nonprofit that reconnects siblings separated by foster care. 3. The Council for Youth with Chronic Conditions presented two Exeter High School teachers, Dan Provost (left) and Geoff Taylor (right), with Champion Awards on July 29. Student Bayleigh Clark (center) nominated both teachers for the award, in recognition of their hard work and dedication to a child with a chronic medical condition during the height of the pandemic.


4. Main Street School in Exeter has launched the first Books on Bikes program in New England through a grant from SAU 16 to engage with the community and to keep children reading through the summer with free books for children in pre-school through age nine. The program was created by two teachers: Emily Darby (left), MSS reading specialist and teacher, and Maureen Kiesel (right), MSS library media specialist.

5. Exeter-based HVAC firm, M2 Mechanical, has announced it will donate a sophisticated air filtration system to a randomly selected organization on September 1. 6. New Hampshire Federal Credit Union member Lucas Gendron (center) is the recipient of a $1,500 scholarship from the 2020-2021 Credit Union Scholarship Program that NHFCU participated in. NHFCU Teller Manager Gail Dorval (left) and Summer Stout (right), lending representative are also pictured.

7. Meredith Village Savings Bank has donated $5,000 to Monarch School of New England in Rochester in support of the school’s Horticultural Therapy and Gardening Program. The donation will be used to provide plants, seeds, compost bins, tools and other supplies for the gardens.


8. The New Hampshire Liquor Commission generated an all-time high in total gross sales of more than $801 million during fiscal year 2021, an increase of nearly 5% or $35 million over the previous year. Pictured here are representatives from NHLC departments.
