1. Bar Harbor Bank & Trust has opened its new, fullservice branch at 3 Kilton Road in Bedford. It is the bank’s 21st branch location in New Hampshire, and one of 54 branches throughout Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. 2. The Manchester MVC Eye Care team surround their office’s “Give & Receive” food donation box with some of the nonperishable items collected. Eight New Hampshire optical offices joined forces to help stop hunger in their communities this holiday season, donating more than 3,150 individual food items for the NH Food Bank.

3. The Merrimack County Savings Bank Foundation has awarded $59,033 to 22 nonprofit organizations serving local communities in New Hampshire. Among them is the Friendly Kitchen in Concord, which was awarded $3,900 for the creation and development of a new content management system website to manage planned meals. 4. Bar Harbor Bank & Trust employees recently presented a $3,000 donation to American Red Cross of Northern New England. The organization was one of seven to receive donations totaling more than $11,000, collected through the third quarter of the bank’s employee-driven charitable giving program, Casual for a Cause. 5. Stonyfield employees collected more than 2,060 pounds of food in addition to personal monetary contributions matched by the company to provide nearly 15,000 meals through the New Hampshire Food Bank.

6. New Hampshire Credit Unions, a league of local credit unions, raised nearly $20,000 through their annual silent auction to help Make-A-Wish New Hampshire bring a smile to the faces of children with critical illnesses.

7. CrossFit Amoskeag in Bedford ended 2020 on a positive note. They were able to raise nearly $6,000 for Make-A-Wish New Hampshire while hosting a socially distanced workout.

8. NH Made recently moved its store from Epping to 28 Deer Street in downtown Portsmouth. The Greater Portsmouth Collaborative held a socially distanced ribbon cutting for the collaborative shop for local products including baked goods, crafts, furniture, galleries, syrup, stained glass and music.

9. Spc. Blake Jalbert-Sullivan, a combat medic with New Hampshire Army National Guard’s Medical Detachment, reviews vaccination paperwork with Will Hill, a 70-year-old registered nurse, at a Lebanon vaccination site on Jan. 5.
