EDUCATION
Paul O. Brower has been named vice president for enrollment management at Rivier University, Nashua. He previously was dean of ENERGY admissions at Nichols TOWN College in Dudley, GIVING, MORE ONLINE Mass.
Rivier University has launched a new 4+1 STEM degree program to pair computer science with cybersecurity management and mathematics. Beginning in the fall, students enrolled in Rivier’s B.S. in cybersecurity management or B.A. in mathematics can earn a master of science in computer science with one additional year of study.
Ledyard Charter School, an alternative high school in Lebanon, has received a $1.07 million loan from the U.S. Department of Agriculture toward the purchase and renovation of 39 Hanover St., a roughly 10,000-square-foot structure at the end of the Lebanon Mall in downtown Lebanon. The school has held classes in the building for the last five years.
ENGINEERING
Sanborn, Head & Associates Inc. has announced that its president, Barret Cole, has been given the added title of CEO. The firm also has announced that Executive Vice President Matthew Poirier will add the chief operating officer title. Charles Head, who has held the CEO title
since 2005, will take on the title of founding principal as he continues
to serve as chair of the company’s board of directors. Cole has served
as the company’s president and Poirier as executive vice president since
2015.
The Epping Planning Board granted site plan approval to Allen & Major Associates Inc. for
a proposed live-work program for Farmsteads of New England. A&M is
providing land survey, civil engineering, permitting and landscape
architecture services to the nonprofit, which provides services for
adults with autism and other developmental disabilities.
FINANCIAL SERVICES
Angela Strozewski has
been promoted to executive vice president, senior operations officer at
New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp, which includes Savings Bank of Walpole,
Merrimack County Savings Bank, Meredith Village Savings Bank and
NHTrust.
She was most recently senior vice president and operations officer for NHMB. In addition, Joanne Pearce has
been named NHMB’s first chief digital officer. Pearce joined Meredith
Village Savings Bank in 2002 as a data security specialist and most
recently was senior vice president, risk management officer.
Franklin Savings Bank has announced the promotions of Renee Gilpatric of Danbury to senior underwriter and residential processing officer and Leisha Havey of Franklin to loan servicing officer.
Amy Harpell-LeMien has been as branch and business development manager of Meredith Village Savings Bank’s Route 104 office in Meredith.
Brittany Saucier has been selected to lead Merrimack County Savings Bank’s main office at 89 N. Main St. in Concord.
BankProv has appointed Joseph Mancini to
senior vice president, enterprise risk officer. He joins BankProv with
more than 15 years of industry experience, having spent his last four
years at Radius Bank, most recently as chief information security
officer.
TRANSPORTATION
Advantage Truck Group, Shrewsbury, Mass., has promoted Andrew Gallagher to
parts manager for its Seabrook, NH, location. Advantage Truck Group has
a parts network supported by a fleet of 30 delivery vehicles that
travel to customers around New England.
CONSTRUCTION
Fulcrum Associates, Amherst,
has completed work on the Orpheum Apartments in downtown Dover.
Construction of the luxury apartments at 104 Washington St. began in
June of 2018, beginning with the demolition of the Robbins Block. The
five-story, 157,000-square-foot building has 130 units, topped by a
rooftop lounge and terrace.
For the second consecutive year, Manchesterbased Clear Choice Home Improvements has been ranked on Qualified Remodeler Top 500, a list of the largest remodeling firms in the nation ranked by revenue.
Three new employees have joined Concordbased North Branch Construction: Pedro Sanchez, named IT coordinator and project coordinator; Ken Hadley, is a project manager/estimator; and Thomas Hannan joins the firm as a project coordinator.
Jewett Construction, Raymond, has promoted Becca Stinchfield to assistant project manager. Previously, Stinchfield, who started at Jewett in February 2018, was project coordinator.
GOVERNMENT
The New Hampshire Retirement System is
seeking an actuarial consultant for the $9 billion state plan. The
search is being conducted because the contract with its current actuary,
Gabriel, Roeder, Smith & Co., is ending, but it is invited to rebid
for the contract. The RFP is available on the retirement system’s
website.
Proposals are due Oct. 2 at 5 p.m. A selection is expected to be made by the end of the year.
Eight
economic development projects in New Hampshire have been awarded a
total of $4.4 million in federal Economic and Infrastructure Development
Investment funds by the Northern Border Regional Commission:
Lakeshore Redevelopment Planning Commission was
awarded $1 million to help complete phase I of the redevelopment master
plan at the site of the former State School in Laconia; town of Jaffrey, $1 million to connect three wells and construct a water treatment facility and water distribution system; Sunapee Heritage Alliance, $350,000; Lakes Region Community Developers, $350,000; Mascoma Valley Preservation, Grafton, $315,000; Monadnock Economic Development Corp., Keene, $1 million for the Keene State College Business Partnership Hub; Hannah Grimes Center Inc., Keene, $315,298; and FIRST New Hampshire, $113,130,
to work with North Country schools and businesses to start robotic
programs that will help students develop STEM skills.
H. Andy Crews, president
and CEO of AutoFair Automotive Group in Manchester, has been named to a
three-year term as a New Hampshire Lottery commissioner.
Crews takes over for former Commissioner J. Christopher Williams, whose term ended in June 2020.

Offering a complete array of business services, The Chalifour Consulting Group, a full-service business, consulting firm has been formed by Ken Chalifour and his son Craig Chalifour. Ken
Chalifour currently operates the Chalifour Design Group, a digital
marketing agency in Loudon. He also owns The Chalifour Realty Group, a
real estate investment company. Craig Chalifour most recently was vice
president of sales and operations at Dealer Income Development, a
finance and insurance agency with a focus on large automotive groups. The new organization’s offices are located in in Loudon and Dover.
HEALTHCARE
Delta Dental Plan of New Hampshire, Concord, has announced the election of three new directors to its board: Joseph Carelli of Hollis, state president of New Hampshire and Vermont for Citizens Bank; Tracy Claybaugh of Plymouth, vice president for finance and administration at Plymouth State University; and Cydney Shapleigh of Alton, executive vice president of Bank of New Hampshire, Laconia.
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Norris Cotton Cancer Center has
become the first cancer center in the Granite State to treat patients
using the MRIdian System, an FDA-cleared cancer treatment to combine MRI
technology with radiation therapy. The new system provides
diagnostic-quality MR visualization of the tumor and surrounding healthy
tissues, helping clinicians improve targeting precision and deliver
potentially more effective radiation doses to the tumor.
Dr. Jenny LaBudde, an
obstetrician/gynecologist, is joining Memorial Hospital’s Women’s
Health and Family Birthing Center practices in North Conway.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded Lamprey Health Care $92,594
as part of the Health Resources and Services Administration’s Quality
Improvement Awards. Lamprey was recognized as a Health Center Quality
Leader, achieving the best overall clinical performance among all health
centers nationally, and ranked in the top 10% for clinical quality
measures in 2019.
Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s
Heart & Vascular Center, based in Lebanon, has launched a new
sports cardiology program to provide personalized screening and
treatment services tailored to the unique needs of athletes. Run by Drs. Gregory A. Dadekian, Merle L. Myerson and David C. Peritz, the clinic provides cardiovascular care for all types of athletes at all levels of competition.
MANUFACTURING
Franklin-based Vitex Extrusion has hired Bob Tanner as its new director of operations in value added production and Steve Jackson as
director of business development. Tanner previously worked for 30 years
with NSA Industries, part of Momentum Manufacturing Group, which also
owns Vitex. Jackson has 25 years of experience in aluminum extrusions
and fabricated products across a variety of industries.
NONPROFITS
Newburyport Bank has continued its support of the Strawbery Banke Museum with a donation of $1,500.

Colleen Kurlansky has
been reelected to a second year as chair of the board of the Manchester
Historic Association and Millyard Museum. Also being added to the MHA
board are: Bonnie Doherty, a former board member and Manchester native who spent 39 years as an elementary school teacher in Manchester; Marylou Ashooh Lazos, who
previously served as curator of museum collections with the MHA from
1998 to 2010; Gene Martin, a development officer at Plymouth State
University who has spent more than a decade in fundraising and
communications; and Walter Milne, a previous MHA board member who also serves on the boards of Camp Carpenter and The Massabesic Audubon Society.
Safe Sports Network has promoted Amy Hollingworth to
executive succeeding Laura Decoster, who helped found the organization
28 years ago and is retiring. Hollingworth, who has been with the
organization since 1999, previously served as program director for the
past seven years.
Attorney Jennifer Parent of
McLane Middleton has been named chair of the board of trustees of The
Palace Theatres, Manchester. Parent, who has served on the board since
2012 and has been vice chair for the past two, succeeds Mark LaPrade,
who has served as chair since 2018.
The recent seventh annual
FEEDNH.org golf tournament, held at the Manchester Country Club, raised
$77,840 that will help with FEEDNH.org’s mission to strengthen New
Hampshire communities through philanthropic collaboration, dedicated
employee involvement and volunteerism. FEEDNH.org is Great NH
Restaurants’ charitable trust.

Nashua-based Waypoint Robotics and Advanced Handling Systems, a firm based in Pleasanton, Calif., have formed a new systems integrator
partnership under which AHS will be able to offer Waypoint’s full fleet
of industrialstrength, omnidirectional autonomous mobile robots, or
AMRs, to customers as part of a fully integrated automated material
handling solution.
Axiomatic LLC, a
Portsmouth-based company serving government, business and nonprofit
clients, has been chosen by the Vermont Department of Taxes to develop a
new statewide platform for managing property tax administration,
equalization and oversight.
Akumina of
Nashua, a provider of employee experience platform (EXP) software, has
named former Iron Mountain executive Peter Karp its new senior vice
president of global sales and business development to lead their global
go-to-market efforts. Karp, who was vice president of sales and global
accounts at Iron Mountain, worked at Konica Minolta before that.
Yahyn, a
Manchesterbased startup digital platform aimed at linking consumers
with vineyards and wine retailers, has partnered with Tastry, a
California-based sensory science company. Under the agreement, Yahyn
said it will be able to pinpoint consumers’ taste preferences based on a
scientific process that has been developed by Tastry.
