Derek Ibarguen has been named the new supervisor of the White Mountain National Forest. Ibarguen, a native Mainer, was a seasonal recreation employee at the White Mountain National Forest for five summers, starting in 1995. Previously deputy forest supervisor for the Bridger-Teton National Forest, based in Jackson, Wyo., Derek’s 18-year career in the U.S. Forest Service has taken him throughout the country, beginning at the Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina and the Daniel Boone National Forest in Kentucky.
