NH Business Review is pleased to present the winners of our 19th annual BOB Awards, which honor the Best of Business in New Hampshire for 2026.

Each year, our readers vote for the Granite State’s most standout businesses — the ones that go above and beyond to ensure exceptional products and services with the utmost attention to detail and delivery on customer satisfaction.

The BOB Awards distinguishes these businesses from the rest, serving as an endorsement from industry members who regularly depend on them to fulfill their day-to-day functions. We would like to thank the thousands of businesspeople who took time out of their busy schedules to highlight the businesses that contribute to New Hampshire’s economic engine and are essential to the business community.

Best new hotel property: The Lake Estate on Winnisquam

NH auto dealer entrepreneur Dan Dagesse bankrolled most of the more than $90 million it cost to build and outfit the Granite State’s newest luxury resort. The Lake Estate on Winnisquam, a 114-room property in Tilton that aspires to earn Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond status, opened in September.

The 36-acre property includes fine dining overseen by iconic chef Chris Viaud, a grand ballroom for weddings and events, and a 5,000-square-foot spa. Management team Ed and Patti Rocco aim to attract high-end travelers who would gladly pay $1,900 a night for a two-bedroom suite for a first-class New England experience.

Best Comeback: NH Manufacturing Extension Partnership

Tony Fernandez and his six-member team at the NH Manufacturing Extension Partnership had a tight window to organize their annual industry summit in October, which attracted more than 400 people.

Just a few months before, the organization’s very existence was in doubt.

Last spring, the NH MEP president and CEO learned that the 51 MEPs that operate in each state would be losing their federal funding due to Trump administration budget cuts. The partnerships provide services to manufacturers and connect them with resources.

In late June, New Hampshire’s congressional delegation announced nearly $925,000 in federal funding to the NH MEP, saving it from closure and allowing it to continue the kind of work that was supported Oct. 24 by nearly three dozen sponsors who signed on to support the summit.

Best new technology product with NH ties: BioAssembly Platform with BAB Intelligence from Advanced Solutions Life Sciences (ASLS)

A process to create human tissue and bone through 3D printing won top honors in December at the NH Tech Alliance’s Product of the Year competition.

The BioAssembly Bot 500 with BAB Intelligence, a robotic-based tissue fabrication and manufacturing platform, was developed by Advanced Solutions Life Sciences, a Louisville, Kentucky-based company whose research and development team is based in the Manchester Millyard. The company was a Product of the Year finalist in 2021.

Advanced Solutions’ first place showing came just a few weeks after the Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute announced it had begun work on an 80,000-square-foot biomanufacturing and workforce training center in a massive mill building at 150 Dow St. in Manchester. The project, headed by inventor and ARMI founder Dean Kamen, will be funded with a portion of a $44 million federal economic development grant.

Advanced Solutions joined ARMI in 2017 and opened its R&D lab at 500 N. Commercial St. in the Millyard the following year. Six of the company’s 50 employees are based in New Hampshire.

Best event to highlight NH’s outdoor industry and workforce resources: NH Outdoor Industry Day & Launch of the Workforce Toolkit for the Outdoor Lifestyle

In June 10, Granite Outdoor Alliance and New Hampshire’s Department of Business Economic Affairs (BEA) hosted an industry gathering at Manchester’s Veterans Memorial Park. Gov. Kelly Ayotte officially declared June 10 as “New Hampshire Outdoor Industry Day,” highlighting the economic impact of New Hampshire’s $3.9 billion outdoor industry, which supports over 30,000 jobs and 1,000 small businesses across the state.

The gathering included the launch of the Workforce Toolkit for the Outdoor Lifestyle, developed by the Office of Outdoor Recreation Industry Development within the BEA. This new resource is designed to equip NH businesses with tools to leverage outdoor recreation in their workforce recruitment and retention strategies.

Best Nonprofit Project: Easterseals Military & Veterans Campus

In September, Easterseals celebrated the official opening of its Miltary & Veterans Campus, a 15-acre center in Franklin that includes 29 units of permanent affordable housing for veterans and military members, a conference center with 22 hotel-style rooms and a hub for veterans services organizations. A second phase will add aquatics and equine therapy and a fitness center.

While Easterseals suffered a management shakeup at the campus shortly after it opened, we expect those growing pains to subside as Easterseals and its partners, which include Swim With A Mission, calibrate the goals for the campus and create the revenue streams needed to make it sustainable.

The $40 project received its biggest share of funding from the state of New Hampshire, which earmarked $23 million of American Rescue Plan Act funds from the federal government to the campus.
