MANCHESTER: ApprenticeshipNH, a workforce training program of the Community College System of New Hampshire (CCSNH), and Manchester Community College (MCC) have joined forces with the New Hampshire Food Bank to create a one-year Preparation Cook Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP). The program combines paid, on-the-job training and 144 hours of related instruction, all offered at the Food Bank’s fully equipped production kitchen located on East Industrial Park Drive in Manchester. The new RAP will begin in April.
LONDONDERRY: The Town of Londonderry, NH, and Freedom Energy Logistics jointly announced that, effective April 1, Londonderry residents currently receiving electric default supply service through Eversource will be eligible to participate in the Town’s Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) program through an agreement with First Point Power at a rate of $0.09573 per kilowatt hour (kWh). Londonderry is one of 12 New Hampshire communities served by Freedom Energy, and among four local municipalities that are rolling out their CCA programs early spring. To date, CCA programs have enabled municipalities to help stabilize costs, promote price transparency and foster local economic development in communities.
MANCHESTER: New Hampshire AI Week 2026, a statewide initiative designed to make artificial intelligence visible, accessible and practical, will take place April 13 through April 17, 2026. New Hampshire AI Week 2026 is being organized by AI in NH in partnership with the NH Tech Alliance. The week-long series of events will bring together universities, businesses, libraries, startups, nonprofits, civic leaders and community members across the Granite State. SUTTON: The Kearsarge Community Common (KCC) team presented its draft master plan in late February during a Sutton Planning Board meeting, outlining a vision for the former Camp Wabasso property. Kearsarge Community Common is envisioned as an outdoor destination and living classroom centered on sustainability, public gatherings and hands-on learning. The project aims to create New Hampshire’s first fully ADA-accessible public beach and dock while preserving much of the property as protected open space. The proposal centers on 46 acres of the 244-acre property, with a main common area on Blaisdell Lake and Billings Pond in Sutton.
MANCHESTER: The SEE Science Center will celebrate its 40th anniversary throughout 2026 with multiple events and opportunities to get involved. The yearlong celebration will include the marking of two additional milestones: the 20th Anniversary of the record-holding LEGO Millyard Model and the completion of SEE’s first ever Capital Campaign, which will include the opening of SEE’s Millyard Design Zone and upgrades to SEE’s amenities.
