LAKES REGION 5K & KIDS FUN RUN FOR MENTAL HEALTH

WHAT: The month of May is recognized nationally as Mental Health Awareness Month. This regional event raises awareness during Mental Health Awareness month and supports services provided by Lakes Region Mental Health Center, the state-designated community mental health center providing integrated mental and physical health care to residents of 24 towns in central New Hampshire. LRMHC provides services to up to 4,000 people and $900,000 in charity care each year.

For over 40 years, the Recycling Conference has been the premier annual event focused exclusively on municipal recycling and waste reduction in New England.

3RD ANNUAL FLOATING LANTERNS FESTIVAL

WHAT: Monadnock Peer Support’s Floating Lantern Festival is an awe-inspiring event where participants gather to release hundreds of floating lanterns onto the water at dusk. As the lanterns drift across the water, they carry with them the messages, prayers and wishes of those who released them. It is a powerful reminder that we are all connected and that our individual struggles are part of a larger narrative. Keene-based Monadnock Peer Support Agency provides mental health support for individuals seeking wellness through a mutually supportive peer community
