
1. The Greater Derry Londonderry Chamber hosted its yearly Legislative Update event at LaBelle Winery on Jan. 24, inviting local business leaders to discuss proposed legislation and ongoing issues impacting the business community with state legislators. The event featured Senate President Sharon Carson and Senate Majority Leader Regina Birdsell, joined by eight state representatives from the local area.
2. Littleton real estate firm Badger Peabody & Smith recently attended the Inman Connect New York 2025 conference in New York City. There, key staff heard from speakers like U.S. Housing and Urban Development Acting Secretary Adrianne Todman and National Association of Realtors CEO Nykia Wright. The conference welcomed 3,000 real estate professionals nationwide, including BPS’ Andy Smith, Debbie Anderson, Nikki Barrett and Brendan Battenfelder.
3. The Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce (GDCC) announced the five winners of its 2025 Annual Awards on Feb. 11, who will be honored at the chamber’s Annual Awards Gala on March 13. D.F. Richard Energy is the Business of the Year; Reach for the Top Therapy Services is Nonprofit of the Year; Jonathan Nichols of the Woodman Museum is Community Arts Champion; frequent community volunteer Elizabeth Fischer is the Citizen of the Year; and the David K. 4. Franklin Savings Bank recently purchased $2,500 in tax credits through the NH Community Development Finance Authority to support the Newfound Lake Region Association’s creation of a conservation center in Hebron. The center will be founded at the Grey Rocks Conservation Area, serving needs of the area watershed, surrounding community and the association.
5. Londonderry-based Foxx Life Sciences held an open house event at its new Hyderabad, India, facility on Feb. 14. The event celebrated five years of Foxx’s bioprocess manufacturing in India and the launch of two new plants, including a new blow and injection molding facility. The facilities create products for vaccine, biotech, pharma and medical companies.
6. The Mountain Top Music Center, the nonprofit operator of Conway’s Majestic Theatre and Café, recently received tax credits through the New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority to support music education and performance opportunities. Meredith Village Savings Bank (MVSB) purchased $10,000 in tax credits to back Mountain Top’s programming. Shown is George Wiese, third from left, with MVSB officials.
7. Meredith Village Savings Bank (MVSB) announced early February that its 2024 “Paintings for a Purpose” art show raised $11,500 through art sales and donations. The show, held last summer at MVSB’s Meredith and Wolfeboro branches, exhibited artwork from watercolor artist Marc Bard and wildlife photographer John Ingard. Donations were split between four local nonprofits: End 68 Hours of Hunger – Wolfeboro Area; Kingswood Youth Center; Restoration Acres Farm; and CASA of New Hampshire.
