MANCHESTER: The NH Tech Alliance has introduced its inaugural Northeast National Security Conference (NENSC), which will take place on June 10 at Saint Anselm College, where industry leaders, defense contractors, entrepreneurs, academia and government agencies from across New England will explore and discuss pressing topics in defense technology. NENSC will also provide an opportunity to feature dual-use technology from businesses in the Northeast as well as the research and resources offered by academic institutions to a national audience. The Alliance is now accepting applications from companies who wish to participate in the Startup Showcase or the Tech Showcase, which feature a 5-minute pitch about their technology and the potential benefits to the defense and national security industries. NASHUA: The Nash Casino at the Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua will officially open its doors to guests on Wednesday, March 5 at 9 a.m. Located in the former Sears building at the Pheasant Lane Mall, The Nash will be the largest charitable gaming venue in New Hampshire, projected to contribute $24 million annually for about 100 New Hampshire nonprofits. The 130,000-square-foot facility will feature five restaurant and bar concepts, a two-story sports entertainment complex, the first Topgolf Swing Suite simulators in New Hampshire, assorted non-gambling games and a wide variety of table games and Historical Horse Racing machines. The Nash is still hiring to fill more than 600 jobs, including kitchen and bar staff, security officers, gaming technicians, dealers, cage cashiers, marketing positions and more. DURHAM: This July, UNH Tech Camp will be offering a number of free week-long STEM programs for middle and high school students focused on regenerative medicine and biofabrication between July 7-25 at the Durham campus. Applications are now being accepted for day and residential options, and all STEM experience levels are welcome to apply. A special program for students who are traditionally underrepresented in STEM-related fields is also being offered at no cost this summer. Open to grades 5-12, the Dinah Whipple STEAM Academy is an immersive educational program that explores science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics (STEAM), as well as topics related to the Black experience. ROCHESTER: Holy Rosary Credit Union (HRCU) is now accepting applications for its 2025 Annual Scholarships. This year, HRCU will offer 15, $1,000 scholarships to local students, and $1,000 awards to students of employees. To be eligible, applicants must be accepted or currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, vocational, technical, or trade school as a full- or part-time student.
