1. Nashua’s Gate City Casino recently contributed $143,996 to the Granite YMCA through the casino’s charitable giving program, culminating in a check presentation on Jan. 22. These funds were earmarked last month for the YMCA from Dec. 23 – 31 and will support youth and family programs across branches around the state. 2. The NH Liquor Commission is expanding its “Spirit of Ireland” partnership with Bord Bia — Ireland’s food board — to introduce cask-finished Irish whiskey and spirits to NH Liquor and Wine Outlet locations. NH is the only state to offer Irish alcohol, beginning with 20 rare, ultra-premium Irish whiskeys in 2024. Irish distillery and Bord Bia representatives will be present at an event on March 6 at the Manchester Country Club in Bedford to introduce a new spirit and whiskey collection.

3. Aubin Woodworking, an architectural millwork and furniture manufacturer based in Bow, recently partnered with the NH Business Finance Authority and Merrimack County Savings Bank to secure a $4.5 million loan. The funds will be used to purchase a 45,360-square-foot warehouse in the town to keep operations stable and allow for future growth.

4. Local franchisees of The Capital Grille, a nationwide fine-dining chain, recently held a ribbon-cutting to celebrate the grand opening of the chain’s first restaurant in New Hampshire. The restaurant, located in Salem at 19 Artisan Drive, was organized by the Southern NH Chamber of Commerce. As part of the celebration, the restaurant donated $10,000 to Bridging the Horizon, a local nonprofit that supports educational opportunities for area youth.

5. The Nash Casino announced on Feb. 5 that it is partnering with Topgolf Swing Suite to bring four golf simulator bays to its charitable gaming venue in Nashua, launching Topgolf’s first location in New Hampshire. The bays offer a 14-by-9.5-foot-tall screen displaying an outdoor golf simulation, which offers virtual versions of real-world courses. Each bay also features a lounge, food and beverage service and other simulated sports. Pictured is a different location of an existing Topgolf Swing Suite.

6. Revo Casino and Social House opened its latest entertainment and charitable gaming venue in Conway at 234 White Mountain Highway on Feb. 4 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The casino features restaurant Rebels; the Rebel Stage, offering live music on weekends; table games and 75 casino machines; and an in-house broadcast center, Revo Studio. The Conway location joins four other locations around the state, including another recently launched casino in Lebanon.

7. Derry business Rig A Tony’s Italian celebrated its 25th anniversary with a ribbon-cutting on Jan. 30, presented by the Southern NH Chamber of Commerce. The event featured owner Lisa DeSisto, who is pictured cutting the ribbon, giving a speech about the restaurant’s history and offering homemade cookies.
