MANCHESTER: The NH Tech Alliance has opened nominations for its 10th annual Tech-Women of the Year Awards, which recognize women in tech in three categories: Student of the Year, Educator of the Year and Professional of the Year. Nominees should have demonstrated a commitment to supporting STEM/technology education and advancing the role of women and girls in technology. SEABROOK: Since 2019, The Brook Casino has raised nearly $30 million for local charities while growing employment by more than 250%. In 2024 alone, over $11 million was raised for more than 100 charities. Through New Hampshire’s charity casino model, a percentage of all games-of-chance and historical horse racing revenue is allocated to local organizations in rotating five-to-10-day cycles to support vital programs.
PLYMOUTH: The Museum of the White Mountains (MWM) at Plymouth State University (PSU) has debuted “Silent Shifts: Evolving Winters in the White Mountains,” a new exhibition co-curated by photographer Joe Klementovich and MWM director Meghan Doherty that traces how our experience of winter in the region has changed over the last 150 years and how it will continue to do so. The exhibition will explore how these changes are affected by the shifts in our climate, technology and access to the outdoors. It will feature artworks, historical and contemporary winter recreational equipment, and many modern and historical photographs that contrast today’s environment. The free exhibition will be open to the public through Saturday, March 29.
MANCHESTER: — Cookson Communications has been named the country’s 36th fastest growing inner-city business by the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC). Award winners are ranked based on revenue growth over a four-year period, which covered 2019-2023 for this recognition. Cookson’s 155.28% revenue growth landed the company in the list’s top 50 for the first time ever.

HOOKSETT: Merchants Fleet has completed its second annual “Give With Merchants” program, which encompasses Thanksgiving and Giving Tuesday, where each employee donated to a charity of their choice. This initiative led to a collective contribution of $61,300 to 77 local and international charities, demonstrating Merchants’ employees’ deep commitment to driving meaningful change within their communities and beyond. Merchants absorbed all processing fees for the initiative, ensuring that 100% of the donations reached the chosen charities.
