RESULTS of a national Harris opinion poll indicate that just over four-fifths of U.S. adults trust their local chamber of commerce as a resource and partner for businesses. Nine in 10 feel their chamber impacts local economic growth, and 88% feel the chamber addresses community challenges. Meanwhile, 65% of business owners view their chamber as an advocate for initiatives and policies in the best interest of their business. CONSTRUCTION industry resource firm Construction Coverage recently released a report on American homebuyers age 55 and older, finding that nearly a fifth of Manchester-Nashua homebuyers are over age 55, or 19.3%, slightly below the U.S. average of 21.1%. The share of Americans in this age bracket has risen from 24.9% in 2010 to 30.2% in 2023. ACROSS the job market, burnout among employees is felt in almost nine in 10 people, MyPerfectResume’s 2025 State of the Workforce Report shows. Of them, 77% express that stress negatively affects their personal lives, while 86% of workers are reluctant to approach HR, citing fears of confidentiality breaches and repercussions against their positions. SOCIAL media shopping on sites like Facebook and Instagram, or social commerce, is expected to become a trillion-dollar industry by 2028, analysts at Stocklytics.com predict. It’s an exponential growth from when the industry grossed roughly $81 billion in 2018, now reaching $688 billion in 2024. This year, over 1.44 billion people made at least one purchase through social media. GLOBAL cybercrime has reached $9.2 trillion in 2024 and is expected to grow to $15.6 trillion by the end of the decade, AltIndex.com estimates. While the cybersecurity workforce has grown to 5.4 million people, companies worldwide lack 4.7 million professionals to secure their businesses, with nearly 40% of surveyed organizations citing that an inadequate budget is to blame for cybersecurity shortages.
