ROCHESTER: Holy Rosary Credit Union (HRCU) announced 14 recipients have received $1,000 each of its 2024 HRCU Annual Scholarship, including highschool students Errick Angwenyi, Lily Breton, Sarah Flynn, Lauren Pflanz, Lyric Picard, Gavin Bailey, Caitlin Willis and Olivia Stone; college students Anilise Brooks (UNH), Zoe Farrington (UNH) and Anderson Pickard (Rice University); and employee children Elias Volpini, Colin Bissonnette and Kaden Manning.

MANCHESTER: Citizens and New Hampshire Union Leader are now accepting applications for Citizens’ 2025 Champions in Action grant program. Nonprofits who are delivering and advocating for mental health and wellbeing services and resources are encouraged to apply for the opportunity to receive $50,000 in unrestricted funding from Citizens, media coverage from New Hampshire Union Leader, and volunteer support from Citizens colleagues. DOVER: During a visit to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, breast cancer advocate Agnes Judge made a $1,000 donation to the Mass General Cancer. Her donation will help fund the cancer center’s support and wellness initiatives, which include nutritional support, social work, integrative therapies like massage and acupuncture, and financial considerations for items like gas cards and wigs.

HAMPSTEAD: Earlier this month, the Hampstead Police Department held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the renaming of its police station to honor Retired Chief Joseph A. Beaudoin, who gave 52 years of service to the Town of Hampstead. Staff members of Southern NH Chamber of Commerce and community members came out to celebrate Beaudoin, whose commemorative plaque will stand as a lasting tribute to his contributions to both the Hampstead community and the department he served.
