DATA from Stocklytics.com indicates that the global amount spent on food and grocery delivery apps in seven years may double in the next four years. The report states that, worldwide, users of these apps have spent $5.38 trillion since 2017, with spending skyrocketing 415% in that time amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, about 3 billion people will use apps to order meals and groceries, three times more than in 2017.

IN a June study published in the Journal of Hospitality Marketing and Management, Washington State University researchers surveyed 1,000 respondents, finding that consumers are less interested in buying products described as using AI, expressing lower emotional trust in the tech. In an experiment, one group showed disinterest in buying AI-labeled products, while another group isolated from the first was more interested in the same descriptions when the term was not included.
