ACCORDING to a new study from SmartAsset, Hillsborough County is seeing the greatest GDP growth in New Hampshire, while Coos County is seeing the least growth. The study combines business growth (6.96% for Hillsborough, -0.95% for Coos), GDP growth ($10,981 for Hillsborough, $817 for Coos) and new building permit rates per 1,000 homes (7.61 for Hillsborough, 4.23 for Coos).

THE Semiconductor Industry Association is projecting that the U.S. may triple domestic semiconductor manufacturing capacity by 2032. The projected 203% growth rate is calculated beginning in 2022, when the CHIPS and Science Act was enacted. The report estimates that in eight years, America may have captured 28% of global capital expenditures, second after Taiwan’s 31%. Without the act, it’s estimated that figure would be only 9% by 2032.

LANGUAGE-LEARNING website Preply surveyed 1,360 U.S. respondents, finding that an overwhelming majority (94%) of Americans have experienced anxiety in work video calls. Meanwhile, 49% said video calls feel more fatiguing than inperson meetings, while 46% shared feelings of anxiety seeing their self-image.

IN a survey of 878 business leaders, resume website ResumeBuilder.com reported that just over half (54%) allow transgender employees to use restrooms consistent with their gender identities, while 30% permit use of unisex restrooms and 24% advocate for unisex facility access. The remaining 16% of those surveyed indicate trans employees cannot use restrooms aligned with their gender identities.

A new report from housing website Zillow, using the American Community Survey’s 2022 study, measured racial disparities in the rental market, finding that households of Black and Indigenous people of color (BIPOC) typically spend more of their income on rent (34%) than white households (29%). While about 19 million American households qualified for housing choice vouchers in 2022 based on income, only 2.4 million vouchers were available.
