MANCHESTER: Outdoor Pride Landscape & Snow Management, a New England-based commercial snow removal and landscape management company, has been named Business NH Magazine’s 2024 “Business of the Year” in the construction/engineering/real estate sector. Outdoor Pride was also recently recognized on Boston Business Journal’s 2024 Fast 50 list, which represents the 50 fastest-growing private companies in Massachusetts.

CONCORD: New Hampshire’s Morpheus 5813 won the Johnson Division Championship at the FIRST Robotics Competition World Championship, which took place from April 17 to April 20 in Houston, Texas. Team Morpheus 5813 hail from Concord, and competed with teams from Australia, China, Turkey, Israel and Japan. The team’s robot was built and operated by students: senior Amalia Orsmond of Bow, and freshmen Tommy Michaud of Barnstead, Isabella Rogers of Concord, and Troy Smith of New Hampton. The students were trained and guided by mentors Daler Kang, Madi Eisenhour, Brianna Meisser, Isaac and Garrett Miskoe, Will Spear and John Mannisto.

LONDONDERRY: Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty’s Commercial Division announced the sale of 91 units in Concord, Manchester, Wakefield and North Conway for $7,250,000 on March 12, 2024. The portfolio of properties was sold by Spofford Enterprises to Smolin Capital Management LLC. Buildings in the portfolio range from a three-unit multifamily to a 35-room motel.

NORTH CONWAY: Norway Savings Bank, headquartered in Norway, Maine, will open a new full-service branch in North Conway, on the corner of Route 302 (Eastman Road) and Eagles Way, in early 2025. This will be the bank’s first location in the Granite State. Site work began in February 2024, and the foundation and base work should be completed by the summer.

KEENE: Monadnock United Way recently announced that Early Childhood Region 1 received a grant from the Center for Advancing Rural Health Equity to launch the Building Early Childhood Supports in Rural NH project. The program will help support four rural libraries in Charlestown, Gilsum, Lempster and Marlow that provide early childhood resources to enhance support for children living in rural communities.

DOVER: Wentworth-Douglass Hospital has been awarded an “A” grade for safety by the Leapfrog Group, an independent, national nonprofit watchdog organization. Grades are based on over 30 national performance measures reflecting errors, accidents, injuries and infections, as well as systems hospitals have in place to prevent harm. The grading system is peer-reviewed and fully transparent.
