FOR THE HEALTH OF IT! THE MONADNOCK REGION COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIR

WHEN: Saturday, April 27, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

WHERE: Keene Family YMCA, 200 Summit Road, Keene

WHAT: The Keene Sentinel, the Monadnock Region Health Reporting Lab and leadership sponsor Monadnock Community Hospital are staging “For the Health of It,” a day-long health fair featuring presentations by doctors and medical experts, advice from health care providers and practitioners and information from those who promote healthy lifestyles. The theme of the 2024 For the Health of It health fair will be youth and family health, as April 27 is also Healthy Kid’s Day. A family-oriented event will feature tours and live demonstrations of the Keene Family YMCA facility and all the programs they offer. Attendees can also expect workshops about establishing healthy behaviors, finding a day care and day care safety, children’s development, diabetes, what it takes to foster a child, mental health in young families and children and social media. Also available are free screenings for hearing and blood pressure with more preventative care services planned.

WHAT: Also known as the “World’s Largest Taco Tour,” the Greater Manchester Chamber is excited to bring back the heavily anticipated Taco Tour Manchester. This popular Manchester tradition, which began in 2011, is quickly becoming one of the largest one-day food festivals in the country and will welcome more than 20,000 visitors from Manchester and beyond. 60+ restaurants are selling their signature tacos for $3 each! 22ND ANNUAL CONCORD HOSPITAL PAYSON CENTER FOR CANCER CARE ROCK’N RACE

WHEN: Wednesday, May 8, 12 – 8:30 p.m.

WHAT: When you support the Payson Center for Cancer Care’s Rock ‘N Race, sponsored by Merrimack County Savings Bank, you are making a difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families. Inside the Payson Center, the HOPE Resource Center provides support programs, social work, nutritional counseling, complementary therapies and financial guidance at no cost to patients. Participants and sponsors of the 2023 race helped to raise over $300,000 for the HOPE Resource Center. By giving to the Rock ‘N Race, you’re helping make these services possible. This event has raised over $6 million for cancer care since 2003.
