FARM BUSINESS LAB PITCH EVENT

WHEN: Thursday, March 7, 5 – 7 p.m.

WHERE: Hannah Grimes Center for Entrepreneurship, 25 Roxbury St., Keene

WHAT: A cohort of farm businesses have participated in our seven-week business planning course, which aims to strengthen and transform farm business through the creation of a business plan. Through this course, all participants have worked hard to ensure the sustainability of their businesses, and in turn, our local food system. As with all our Business Labs, this course concludes with the Pitch event at the Hannah Grimes Center for Entrepreneurship.

2024 NEW ENGLAND CRAFT BREW SUMMIT

WHAT: The New England Craft Brew Summit, the largest craft beer conference on the East Coast, will return to Portland, Maine. The theme of this year’s event will be “From Startup to Steady.” New England Craft Brew Summit will feature a range of presentations, panels and, new for 2024, tabletop discussions. Topics will range from how to get your product in more grocery stores to employee well-being and new technologies in brewing. The conference is expected to draw more than 500 industry professionals from across the region.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP: KEYS TO LEADING HIGH-PERFORMING TEAMS

During this workshop, participants will grow in five key leadership areas essential to high-performing teams: building a foundation of trust; setting and communicating expectations efficiently; driving accountability; prioritizing development of your team; and having authentic difficult conversations and transformative feedback getting results. Participants will then debrief as a group, apply learnings to everyday context, and commit to action items for the week ahead.

2024 BOB (BEST OF BUSINESS) AWARDS: TROPICAL PARADISE PARTY

WHAT: In March 2024, the BOB Awards Party is heading south for a warm, tropical getaway. This event is not your typical business awards reception — we invite you to step out of the often unpredictable late-winter New Hampshire weather and into the Caribbean for an unforgettable evening of fun in the sun. There will be beach and tropical-themed food, beverages, music and fun. We’re leaving the speeches, rubbery chicken dinners and assigned seating at home. It is a region that allows you to explore, with the restaurants, city and towns that make a night out or leisurely walk around a main street the extent of your outdoorsy lifestyle. Awards will be presented for the Windsor Brooks Business of the Year, Ken Jue Nonprofit of the Year and Citizen of the Year.
