Ground-penetrating radar device wins big at NH Tech Alliance competition

Five New Hampshire companies competed in the livestreamed event on Dec. 6 to an audience of nearly 850. Audience members voted live for their favorites, and scored together with judge votes, the Flex NH was crowned the winner.
“The Product of the Year competition highlights the best innovation from New Hampshire in the last year,” said Julie Demers, executive director of the NH Tech Alliance. “We’re thrilled to bring awareness of the innovation happening in our state to a global audience.”
GSSI’s Flex NH was designed to be the most powerful and efficient concrete scanner for pros in the construction, archaeological and forensic fields.
This ground penetrating radar system delivers industry-leading performance in an ergonomic and intuitive handheld scanner, with two antennas to allow for one-pass cross polarization.
Along with new imaging standards available at the touch of a button, these elements help workers in the field to streamline testing for structural safety and simplify concrete scanning, among other uses.
Two wireless antennas, NX25 and soon to be released NX15, offer greater flexibility for challenging job sites, such as small spaces and tight corners. All of which go hand in hand to create an efficient system that makes work sites more easily and safely defined.
The other finalists in this year’s competition were: AHV85110, a high-voltage, self-powered isolated gate driver for vehicle electrification and clean energy systems from Allegro MicroSystems; Summit, a single-use arthroscope from Pristine Surgical; Barry-1 orbot from Rogue Space Systems; and SV Hoops, an AI app that tracks athletes’ game play and techniques, from SportsVisio.
Past Product of the Year winners include the TU3 from Mikros Technologies; breast cancer locator by CairnSurgical; SpotOn Virtual Smart Fence by OnPoint Systems; Measured Air Performance by iCAD Inc., and many others. — AMANDA ANDREWS
