2023 NH BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SUMMIT

WHAT: The New Hampshire Behavioral Health Summit is a statewide event in NH for behavioral health care providers and organizations, including mental health and substance use disorders. This event provides opportunities for policymakers to interact with service providers to foster information sharing; that address the behavioral health policy and service needs of children and adolescents, adults and the elderly; that help participants understand the changing substance use, mental health and primary health landscape; that encourage expansion of the workforce relative to health promotion, prevention, early identification and intervention, treatment and recovery supports; that increase familiarity of the various disciplines and systems to promote collaboration and enhance care coordination; and supports the provision of evidenced-based practices.

CONFERENCE

LEVERAGING CORPORATE CULTURE TO DRIVE RESULTS

While a great culture may get the attention of top performers, how do you define the values that make up your culture and use them to get results? Savvy business leaders are able to weave corporate culture into all aspects of the business — from recruiting and onboarding to career development and performance management — to drive the behaviors necessary to achieve organizational goals. During this workshop, participants will: assess if current corporate values drive performance or if they are just words on paper; identify behaviors related to values that drive successful results; engage in group exercises to learn how to interview, train and assess employees based on corporate values and debrief as a group, apply learnings to everyday context, and commit to action items for the week ahead.

BOYS AND GIRLS CLUBS OF CENTRAL NH’S 50TH ANNUAL TV AUCTION

WHEN: Thursday, Dec. 7, 8 a.m. to Saturday, Dec. 9, 8 p.m.

WHERE: Televised event

WHAT: First aired in 1973, the annual TV Auction is the nonprofit’s longest-running fundraiser and a holiday tradition. Aired live on Concord TV with additional online bidding and streaming at bid4kids.org, the auction is a community event that draws in hundreds of viewers for a bidding extravaganza on items donated from hundreds of local businesses.

EMPLOYER CONFERENCE: MANAGING ADDICTION IN THE WORKPLACE

WHAT: The Employer Conference: Managing Addiction in the Workplace is open to New Hampshire employers wanting to learn the ways to address addiction to improve their bottom line. Topics range from the ADA and substance use order, to hiring people in recovery, cannabis in the workplace, Narcan administration and more. Refreshments and lunch will be provided.

NH TECH ALLIANCE’S PRODUCT OF THE YEAR

WHEN: Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2:30 – 5 p.m.

WHERE: Tupelo Music Hall, 10 A St., Derry

WHAT: The 17th annual Product of the Year competition highlights the best innovation from New Hampshire in the last year. Finalists receive exposure locally throughout the judging process and globally at the livestreamed event on the Alliance’s YouTube Channel. For local viewers, join the Alliance in person at Tupelo Music Hall to watch the livestream in the theater and network with the finalists after the viewing. You’ll be able to view their products in person and ask them questions after the event.

Sustainability Day — offered in partnership with the UNH Sustainability Institute and supported by Bank of America and Bangor Savings Bank — will feature a keynote presentation from Dr. Fiona Wilson, UNH’s deputy chief sustainability officer, followed by panels surrounding assessing and analyzing sustainable initiatives and the role sustainability plays in businesses and the community.
