1. Waypoint’s SleepOut 2023, held March 24, has so far raised over $350,000 to help youth experiencing homelessness or are housing insecure. Over 280 people slept out this year, with many sleepers sleeping out remotely, such as in their own backyards, and a few dozen gathered at the agency’s outdoor space at its new Youth Resource Center in Rochester.



2. The Bank of New Hampshire recently donated $5,000 to support Granite VNA’s programs for aging, healthy lifestyles, advance care planning, grief and bereavement, and caregiving. 3. Meredith Village Savings Bank (MVSB) supported the Regional Economic Development Center (REDC) with a $5,500 tax credit purchase through the Community Development Finance Authority to support the REDC’s New Americans Loan Fund, which offers business financing to new American business owners seeking to open or grow a business in New Hampshire. 4. In recognition of their contributions to raising awareness of mental health in New Hampshire, John T. Broderick, Jr. and Patti Broderick (pictured here) will be honored by City Year New Hampshire with the Lifetime of Service Award. Patti Broderick was a New Hampshire school teacher for many years, and John Broderick is the senior director of external affairs at Dartmouth Health, and was previously a member of the NH Supreme Court from 1995 to 2010, serving as chief justice from 2003 to 2010.



5. Lakes Region Community Developers (LRCD) has named Northpoint Engineering of Concord as their Housing Champion for April 2023. The award is given to local companies committed to creating new, affordable housing opportunities. 6. Members of the Berlin Kiwanis Club recently presented injury prevention gift kits and board books to the Emergency and Women’s Services Departments of Androscoggin Valley Hospital (AVH) to be given to patients.
