BUSINESS ORGANIZATIONS

Concord-based Clean Energy NH, a group that advocates for a zero-carbon energy system, has added six new members to its board of directors: Bill Church, an educator and founder of White Mountain Science Institute; Michael Fradette, manager of Amazon Web Service’s energy strategy for North and South America; George Hansel, mayor of Keene and owner of Filtrine Manufacturing Company; Mary Lou Krambeer, principal of MLK & Company; Jay McFarland, owner of Hampton Ford Hyundai; and Meghan Semiao, director of asset management at Longroad Energy.


BUSINESS SERVICES

Photographer Greg West is offering 3D virtual tours for a wide range of businesses, including builders, senior living facilities, hospitality venues and retailers. The “Open Walls 3D Virtual Tour” allows online visitors online to tour residences or venues.


ADVERTISING AND MARKETING

Firehorse Creative of Concord recently completed and launched a new website for the Capitol Center for the Arts. The firm developed a custom content management system to integrate with Patron Manager, a platform used to manage shows for the center’s two entertainment venues.


HEALTHCARE

Dartmouth Cancer Center at Cheshire Medical Center has added Dr. Janelle Park to its staff as medical director of oncology services and a practicing radiation oncologist. She previously served as medical director of a private practice clinic in Tampa, Fla.

Cheshire Medical Center has received accreditation for its Family Medicine Residency program from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education’s Residency Review Committee. Faculty physicians and residents will provide full-spectrum care for their patients there and in the medical center, and help expand primary care access to more patients after its inauguration in 2024.

Applewood Center, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Winchester, has been recognized by Reputation with its 800 Award, which honors businesses that prioritize customer experience in their core strategy.


CONSTRUCTION

Hudson contractor Triple Construction was recently selected to build a temporary shelter for unsheltered people at 39 Beech St., in Manchester. 39 Beech Street LLC is leasing 4,000 square feet of its 26,716-square-foot building to the City of Manchester from Feb. through April 2023. The building, constructed in 1900, is the former home of E&R Cleaners, and is located directly across from an FW Webb facility.

Manchester-based wall and ceiling contractor Metro Walls has announced that Ty Sullivan has joined its staff as safety director. Sullivan, who has over 10 years of construction safety experience, previously worked as safety director for Ducci Electrical Contractors of Farmington, Conn. Sullivan will work out of the firm’s Manchester office.


ENGINEERING

The Nobis Group, a Concord-based engineering and environmental consulting firm, has announced that Jeffrey Brunelle has been named an associate of the firm. Brunelle, director of project development and a senior project manager at Nobis, is a certified professional geologist with over 20 years of experience in hazardous materials investigations and environmental cleanups at industrial, institutional, military, municipal and Superfund sites throughout the Northeast.


FINANCIAL SERVICES

Wendy Clark was recently promoted to senior vice president, senior compliance officer for NH Mutual Bancorp. Clark joined the organization in 2011 and has over 36 years of experience in the compliance and audit fields.

Adam McKinney has been promoted to branch and business development manager at Meredith Village Savings Bank after previously serving as branch services supervisor at the same location since 2019.

Northwestern Mutual has welcomed Sean Edwards to the team as a financial representative, where he will provide expert guidance and innovative solutions for a variety of financial needs and goals.

Hanover-based Ledyard National Bank has been selected to participate in the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston’s Equity Builder Program, which assists homebuyers with down payment and closing costs as well as homebuyer counseling and rehabilitation assistance. The program provides grants to financial institutions to assist households at or below 80 percent of the area median income. Borrowers are eligible to receive up to $29,000 in assistance on a first-come, first-serve basis. Buyers must also complete a homebuyer counseling program.

New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp has added Robert Francis Clifford III to its staff as vice president, data and business intelligence officer. He previously spent 15 years at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston most recently leading its Data & Analytics Department.

Stephen K. Smith has joined Bank of New Hampshire’s wealth management team as senior vice president, investment officer/strategist, bringing over 35 years of experience to the role. The bank also has promoted Windy Carnes to assistant vice president, customer service officer, who has been with the company since 2021.

Kelsea Batchelder has been welcomed to the team at St. Mary’s Bank as community and employee engagement specialist. She previously held roles with organizations such as the Granite YMCA, The Nature Conservancy, UNH, Mel’s Funway Park and others.

Scott Kaiser has joined Newburyport Bank as vice president, commercial loan officer. Kaiser’s career has included positions at other financial services institutions such as Northway Bank, Citizens Bank and Bank of America. He holds a bachelor’s in business management from Indiana University.


ARCHITECTURE

The H.L. Turner Group Inc., a Concord-based architectural and engineering firm, has announced the addition of Bonnie Tisdale to its staff as marketing manager. Tisdale has over 25 years’ experience in marketing, communications and graphic design, most of it in the engineering and construction management industry.


GOVERNMENT

The NH Department of Environmental Services is distributing another $17 million — a combination of grant and loan funds — to 10 New Hampshire communities to support drinking water and wastewater system improvements: Exeter, Gilford, Lancaster, New Castle, Newmarket, Portsmouth, Raymond, Somersworth, Waterville Valley and Winchester.

Secretary of State David Scanlan has appointed Ashley Miller as New Hampshire State Archivist, succeeding Brian Burford, who retired in December. Previously, Miller was the archivist, reference and outreach coordinator for the Concord Public Library, and holds two master’s degrees in archives management and history from Simmons College.


LAW

McLane Middleton has announced the hiring of attorneys Jesse J. O’Neill and David C. Tencza. O’Neil, who represents clients in a wide variety of litigation matters, previously worked at the New Hampshire attorney general’s office for nearly nine years, most recently as a senior assistant attorney general. Tencza has over 15 years of trial experience and also joins the Litigation Department at McLane Middleton, primarily working with clients on family law and criminal-related matters. He previously worked for Nashua law firm Welts, White & Fontaine and before that served as a Superior Court prosecutor.


MANUFACTURING

Cirtronics, an advanced contract manufacturing company in Milford, has hired Daniel Habhegger as its new chief financial officer, succeeding George Mandragouras, who has been with the firm for 26 years. Habhegger has over 25 years of financial and analytical experience in various industries, including transportation, software and medical devices. Before joining Cirtronics, he was CFO at Precision Optics Corp. in Gardner, Mass.


NONPROFITS

The YMCA of Greater Nashua has renewed its Platinum GuideStar Nonprofit Profile Seal of Transparency, the highest level of recognition offered by the international source of nonprofit information. By sharing metrics that highlight progress the YMCA is making toward its mission, the Y said the organization is helping donors by sharing up-to-date organizational metrics with supporters and GuideStar’s online audience, which includes donors, grantmakers and the media.

CATCH Neighborhood Housing, Concord, has announced the addition of two new members to its board of directors: Tim Wade, New Hampshire regional president and executive vice president of M&T Bank; and Safiya Wazir, a case manager for Ascentria and Church World Service who previously served as a state representative from Concord.

Lakes Region Community Developers, Laconia, has appointed two new members to its board of directors: Reuben Bassett, a commercial agent with The Legacy Group/Keller Williams, and John Libby, a certified public accountant.

Visions for Creative Housing Solutions has kicked the public phase of its capital campaign to fund construction of a third location at 11 Park St. in Hanover. The energy-efficient, fully accessible residence will provide permanent, secure, supported housing to 12 Upper Valley adults with developmental disabilities and similar disabling conditions, the organization said. To date, the organization has raised over $3.1 million, 70 percent of the way toward its $4.2 million goal.

Spaulding Academy & Family Services has added two directors to its executive leadership team: Courtney Constant, director of development and community relations; and Nick Silva, director of admissions. Constant previously worked as director of operations at Lake Life Realty — Compass New England since 2018, and Silva has held several roles with Spaulding since 2014, including academic aide, paraprofessional, associate teacher, among others.

New Hampshire the Beautiful Inc. has approved awarding over $16,000 in recycling grants to five towns: New London, Peterborough, Henniker, Canterbury and Tuftonboro.


REAL ESTATE

Mike Reed of Stebbins Commercial Properties represented the City of Manchester and the Manchester Diocese in the $1.65 million sale of a development site on Wellington Hill in Manchester to Torrington Properties, a developer of housing projects in New Hampshire and elsewhere. Reed assisted Torrington in the transaction as well.

The Adair Country Inn and Restaurant in Bethlehem, which for most of the last decade has been owned by Joel and Cathy Bedor, is being listed for sale. Badger Peabody Smith is the listing agent. The Bedors are planning their retirement, according to a press release. The historic inn was built as a residence in 1927, but over the last 30 years it has been a restaurant. The 150-acre property features scenic grounds with views of Mt. Washington and the surrounding White Mountains.

Roche Realty Group Inc. has announced that Carol Mattice has joined the firm’s Meredith office. A Realtor in the Lakes Region for 20 years, she focuses on residential, waterfront, vacation homes, condominiums and land sales.


TECHNOLOGY

Loftware, the Portsmouth-based provider of enterprise labeling and artwork management solutions, has been recognized by Corporate LiveWire as Labeling Solutions Provider of the Year. Loftware was selected for its cloud-based products that can help companies improve accuracy, traceability and compliance while enhancing the quality, speed and efficiency of their labeling, the company said.


Christine Tappan joins Ascentria Care Alliance

Ascentria Care Alliance has announced the addition of Christine Tappan as chief of strategy and external relations.

Tappan has over 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, most recently as principal associate at Abt Associates, where she led domestic U.S. strategy for technical assistance and capacity-building across health, social and economic policy.

Before that, she was associate commissioner of the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services.
