MANUFACTURING

NEMO, a designer of outdoor gear and accessories, has been named one of the 50 Best Places to Work in 2022 by Outside magazine. HEALTHCARE

Dartmouth Health CEO and President Joanne M. Conroy has been recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of the 2022 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare for the second time, ranked No. 18 on the list. Conroy received the honor for the first time in 2020. StretchLab, an assisted stretching franchise owned and operated by Lenore and Jason Vaillancourt, is opening its first New Hampshire studio in Bedford at 25 South River Rd., Unit 108. The studio will partner people of all ages and fitness levels with trained flexologists to address all major muscle groups.

Nurse practitioner Dr. Aaron Kahn and physician assistant Kim Kasten are joining Dover Family Practice. Kahn has 15 years of experience as a family nurse practitioner, most recently at Rochester Hill Family Practice and at Core Physicians in Stratham. Kasten has 10 years of experience in healthcare as a PA and an emergency medical technician in California.

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital was awarded seven 2023 Women’s Choice Awards, including a national rank of 32 of 1,012 mediumsized hospitals in patient satisfaction. The hospital was honored with: the “100 Best Hospitals for Patient Experience”; awards for bariatrics, cancer care, mammogram imaging, minimally invasive surgery, obstetrics and stroke care; and honors for the hospitals’ Breast Health Center in Portsmouth and Women’s Life Imaging in Somersworth.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon recently became part of the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation’s Care Center Network, one of seven additional sites across the nation designed to increase access to high-quality care and services for those in the PF community.

John T. Broderick Jr., senior director of external affairs at Dartmouth Health and former chief justice of the New Hampshire Supreme Court, recently published his book “Back Roads and Highways: My Journey to Discovery on Mental Health,” a memoir that highlights his journey and efforts to reduce the stigma around mental illness. The book is available for purchase on Amazon.com.

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital will be offering OBGYN services from Dr. Michelle Ciarlo at Primary Care of Rochester. Dr. Ciarlo is experienced in highrisk obstetrics, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, infertility and menopause. She received her Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine in Barbados, and completed her residency at the Saint Peter’s Healthcare System in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Southern New Hampshire Health welcomed five new providers to its practices: Dr. Tolga Ozmen joins the staff at Foundation Surgery; Timothy Miller, a board-certified physician assistant, joins Foundation Surgery; Marina Smallwood, a board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner, joins Women’s Care of Nashua; Victoria Martone, a board-certified nurse practitioner, joins the staff of Infectious Disease and Travel Medicine in Merrimack; and Rachel Davis, a board-certified nurse practitioner, joins the staff at both the Nashua Center for Internal Medicine and the Anticoagulation Clinic.

EVR Advertising, Manchester, has announced that Christine Rival has been promoted to vice president of operations, overseeing the agency’s finance, HR and IT departments.


FINANCIAL SERVICES

Northeast Credit Union has announced the appointment of Neil Gordon to senior vice president and chief financial officer.

Erica Antonucci of Littleton has joined the Union Bank of Vermont as an assistant branch administrator. She has held numerous roles at the Bank, including commercial and residential loan officer and personal banker, among others. She holds a bachelor’s in financial management from Franklin Pierce University and a graduate of Northern New England School of Banking.

Merrimack County Savings Bank appointed Terrie McQuillen to the Regional Economic Development Center’s Credit Committee, where she’ll assist in reviewing small business loan applications. The Merrimack also supported REDC by purchasing $50,000 in tax credits to help expand capital to the NH New Americans Loan Fund, which provides assistance to recent immigrants of New Hampshire who wish to open or grow their businesses.

Travis Craig has joined the Bank of New Hampshire as assistant vice president, Concord Heights banking office manager, where he’ll be responsible for customer relationship management, new business development and community engagement.

Kathie George O’Neil has joined Newburyport Bank as vice president and senior loan officer. Prior to joining the Bank, she held several roles for over 37 years in lending at People’s Bank, Harbor One Bank and Wells Fargo, among others.

Savings Bank of Walpole has announced the promotion of Crystal Lewis to assistant vice president, business development officer.


BUSINESS SERVICES

Global Rescue — a provider of medical, security, evacuation and travel risk management services based in Lebanon — was named to Inc. magazine’s 2022 Best in Business List in Travel and Hospitality for the company’s leadership in several areas, including its GRIDSM Medical and Security Mobile App, which was used to coordinate evacuations of travelers from war-torn Ukraine, help students and faculty get out of Russia, and provide security advisory services for foreign news correspondents.


TECHNOLOGY

Datanomix, maker of the Automated Production Intelligence software platform, has partnered with Vallen to offer their software solution to Vallen’s manufacturing customers. The software automates the collection and analysis of manufacturing data and insights into production performance.


NONPROFITS

This holiday season, UScellular donated food items — enough for two breakfasts, two lunches and three dinners — to 68 Hours of Hunger to aid the nonprofit in their mission of providing children nourishing food to carry them through weekends.

In response to a 25 percent cut in meal funding, Dartmouth Health recently donated $20,000 to the Bugbee Senior Center in White River Junction, Vt., a program of the White River Council on Aging, to help pay for meals for senior citizens in Hartford, Norwich, Thetford and North Hartland, Vt.

Granite State Independent Living has named Michael Goodwin as its new vice president of strategy and business development. He has previously worked as CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem, CEO of Souhegan Valley Cub in Milford and previously before that was responsible for lobbying, corporate relations and Advocacy for all 42 Boys & Girls Clubs in Massachusetts. In addition, GSIL’s has named Marcia Bagley as its new chief program officer. She has worked for the past 15 years in the Nashua School District, most recently as special education director.


NH Fiscal Policy Institute names new exec. director

The NH Fiscal Policy Institute has named Gene Martin as it new executive director after a national search to find a successor to longtime executive director AnnMarie French, who worked with the institute for nine years.

Martin most recently served in a dual role as the associate director of development and director of government relations at Plymouth State University.
