1. ACRES Commercial Real Estate Services held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate its grand opening in Concord. The company will serve as a one-stop shop for commercial transactions involving appraisal, title and closing work. ACRES shared that it plans to invest in an in-house training and apprenticeship program that will ensure its team can handle a high volume of transactions while addressing the need to get more licensed appraisers into the state.



2. The Granite Outdoor Alliance held its GRANITEER event in Littleton back in October, where over 500 attendees and more than 30 organizations gathered at the outdoor lifestyle event that gave people the chance to explore what it’s like to live in New Hampshire, from career and volunteer opportunities to the outdoor spaces we call home. The event was held to spur action to resolve the state’s lack of affordable housing and workforce shortage by bringing together potential employees and those willing to invest in the outdoor economy to keep residents in the state.



3. Denise Hubbard (NMLS #47515), mortgage loan program specialist at Meredith Village Savings Bank, was honored back in October as the No. 1 2022 Platinum Level Loan Originator from the New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority. 4. After more than a year of planning and seven months of complex engineering and preservation work, the Concord Gasholder steeple has been successfully stabilized. The NH Preservation Alliance collaborated with property owner Liberty, the City of Concord, and a team of engineers and consultants including Structures North, Yankee Steeplejack Company, Milestone Engineering & Construction, and Bruss Project Management on work that included interior structural scaffolding and exterior cabling — all to support the compromised roof and compression ring that encircles the base of the roof in order to avoid collapse, and crew members also set up infrastructure for the next phase of work on masonry, roof and other elements.



5. Hannaford Supermarkets has donated $50,000 to Families in Transition to aid in the renovation of the nonprofit’s new food pantry at 176 Lake Ave. in Manchester. Designed to mimic a traditional grocery store, the pantry will help serve the over 1,000 food-insecure individuals who use their services monthly. 6. Members of Bank of New Hampshire’s retail lending department recently volunteered with Southeast New Hampshire Habitat for Humanity, where they stacked logs, dragged brush and limbs to be chipped, and unloaded previously framed exterior walls off a trailer for the future home. The nonprofit helps families build and improve places to call home as a means to reduce housing poverty and eliminate homelessness.
