WHAT: Join the Portsmouth Chamber as they welcome back the Seacoast Manufacturers Roundtable, a quarterly meeting of the local manufacturing industry to connect and learn from one another. This roundtable is a partnership between the City of Portsmouth, Great Bay Community College, and the Chamber Collaborative of Greater Portsmouth. Joining this meeting will be Mikael Pyrtel, a business resource specialist from the Division of Economic Development in the State of New Hampshire’s Department of Business and Economic Affairs. Mikael will share valuable strategies of how the State of New Hampshire can support local manufacturing businesses. Lunch will be provided.

WHAT: The Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce will be joined by Congressman Pappas, Matt Mowers, Dan Feltes and Governor Sununu during the program. Each candidate will have a 20-minute moderated interview session including questions submitted from registered attendees. Key forum topics will include, state and federal response to Covid-19, economic impact and recovery from Covid-19, economic and workforce development, transportation and infrastructure, healthcare and education, and leadership and collaboration.

GET GOING WITH GREEN ENERGY

WHERE: Historic Cheshire County Courthouse, Delegation Hall, 12 Court St., Keene
WHAT: Renewable energy and efficiency measures can help businesses and other organizations save money, make energy costs more predictable, and reduce their carbon footprint all at the same time. Figuring out which approach is best for your organization, however, can be challenging, especially if you’re only beginning to research your options. On Oct. 27, hear from a variety of businesses and organizations in the Monadnock Region on how they’ve moved forward with green energy production, weatherization and other efficiency measures. Attendees will also tour the headquarters of Paragon Digital to see firsthand how they transformed a historic church into solar-powered, energy-efficient office space. There will also be time for coffee and networking with vendors, resource providers, businesses and other community members interested in working towards a future powered by green energy.

EV MYTHS & OPPORTUNITIES WITH JOHN KONDOS

WHAT: Learn about electric vehicles, EV costs, safety, dispel EV myths and hear why owners love their EVs. Hear an update on local EV charging infrastructure and the Inflation Reduction Act that will support EV momentum in our region. Keynote speaker: John Kondos is a founder of the Monadnock Sustainability Hub, Monadnock chapter of Citizens Climate Lobby and Home-Efficiency Resources, LLC. He started his career in the renewable energy industry in the late 1970’s at the contractor level and went on to work at a crystalline and then at a thin film PV manufacturer. He returned to the solar industry in 2007 after a number of years and has installed PV systems on three continents.
