A recent Pew Research Center survey found that 44 percent of Americans think major technology companies should be regulated more than they are now, down from 56 percent in April 2021. The share of Americans who say they want less government regulation of major technology companies has roughly doubled, from about one in 10 (9 percent) in previous years to one in five today.

A majority of Americans believe social media companies are censoring political viewpoints they find objectionable, based on another survey from the Pew Research Center. Three-quarters of Americans (77 percent) now think it is very or somewhat likely that social media sites intentionally censor political viewpoints they find objectionable, including 41 percent who say this is very likely.

FIFTY-TWO percent of U.S. marketing managers plan to hire digital marketing personnel from an agency in 2022, based on a Robert Half survey. Additionally, 47 percent of marketing managers are looking to add marketing technology and automation personnel to their staff this year.

IN a recent WalletHub study, Nashua, NH, was ranked as the fourth highest city with a labor force population between the ages of 16 and 24. Out of 182 U.S. cities, Nashua ranked No. 107 overall on WalletHub’s list of the best cities for summer jobs, but scored higher, at No. 95, for social environment and affordability.

DESPITE the flexibility that working from home provides, a Robert Half survey revealed that 70 percent of professionals who set their own schedules are working more hours now than before the pandemic. Because of this, 41 percent of workers are more burned out than a year ago, but 35 percent of respondents said they feel uncomfortable discussing burnout with their boss.
