Nonprofits rely on business partnerships, donations and volunteers to fulfill their mission. Here are some organizations in New Hampshire that could use your help.

One Sky Community Services
oneskyservices.org

One Sky is seeking existing houses that can be purchased at a reasonable price to help address its urgent housing shortage for developmentally disabled individuals. Housing with 3 to 4 bedrooms, preferably on one floor, is most desirable. They also accept financial donations to help purchase housing. For more information on how you can help or to make a donation, please contact the director of development at 603-436-6111 x115.

Caring Rides • caringrides.org
603-622-4948

Catholic Charities’ CareGivers program, which provides homebound seniors in Greater Manchester and Greater Nashua with a wide range of supportive services, is seeking volunteer drivers to meet the growing demand for its Caring Rides program. Volunteers provide seniors with free transportation to medical appointments, dialysis appointments and other vital errands. Volunteers have the flexibility to choose when and where they volunteer, with no required regular time commitment.

New Generation • 603-436-4989

New Generation, a Catholic Charities program, is seeking retail gift cards (e.g. Market Basket, Target, Walmart) and gas cards for participants of its after-care program, which helps single mothers and children who faced homelessness get their lives back on track and build self-sufficient futures. While mothers in the after-care program have moved into permanent housing from New Generation’s emergency shelter and transitional living program, they are still navigating common financial challenges of living independently as they rebuild their lives. Gas cards help provide transportation to jobs, child care and other daily needs, while retail cards help them purchase food, clothing and other essentials for their new beginnings.

Animal Rescue Network of New England (ARNNE)
arnne.org

ARNNE is in need of volunteers to help with performing weekly duties in their Pelham-based shelter that include walking dogs, feeding them, play yard activities and more. The animal rescue nonprofit is also looking for fosters in New Hampshire to help transition dogs and cats to their forever homes. Applications can be found on their website.

Monadnock at Home
monandockathome.org
603-371-0809

Monadnock at Home, which enriches the lives of seniors in the Monadnock Region, is in need of volunteers to assist with basic home maintenance needs, grocery and medication delivery, transportation to medical appointments and more. Most Monadnock at Home members live in a rural setting without family locally and can often have difficulty accessing these types of services.

The program is also in need of gift cards (gas, grocery store, ride services) to help community veterans with food, transportation and other essentials.
