Plymouth State University has named Alberto Ramos as its chief diversity officer and director of diversity, equity and social justice — the first person to serve in the role at the university.

Ramos previously worked for the Minnesota State Colleges as its chief diversity officer.

In his new job, Ramos will be a member of the President’s Cabinet, and he will serve as director of PSU’s new Center for Diversity, Equity and Social Justice.
