
1. 603 Diversity magazine celebrated the launch of its first issue last month with a party for special guests at the Palace Theatre in Manchester. The publication shares stories on business and culture in New Hampshire’s diverse communities and explores the long history of diverse contributions to the state’s development as one of the most highly ranked states in the country. 2. Veterans Count Seacoast Chapter held its eighth-annual On the Tarmac event at Pease International Tradeport last month, which raised over $770,000 to support NH service members, veterans and their families. In addition, Mobius Mobility unveiled the iBot wheelchair, invented by Dean Kamen, who demonstrated how the chair can climb stairs, rise up so the user is eye-level with a person standing, and make it easy for a user to retrieve things from high places. 3. Spirit Airlines donated $10,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Manchester as part of its inaugural celebration as the newest airline carrier at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. The funds will support the services the Club provides, which includes programs delivered at its main Clubhouse at 555 Union Street and after-school programs at Jewett Street and Highland Goffe’s Falls Elementary Schools in Manchester. Spirit Charitable Foundation representatives presented the check to Boys & Girls Club of Manchester CEO Diane Fitzpatrick, Development Director Natalie Jutras and three Club members.
4. The Workplace Benefit Solutions HUB International Harvest Golf Classic recently raised $106,052 to support the New Hampshire Food Bank’s ongoing efforts to fight hunger in New Hampshire.

5. Capital Regional Development Council assisted in the financing of 100 acres in Pittsfield for Moonlight Meadery, producer of world-renowned, premium meads and cider. The new location will host tastings, tours and a future bed and breakfast, as well as a farm to operate an apiary for harvesting honey, a main ingredient sourced in Moonlight Meadery products. 6. Franklin Savings Bank in partnership with Lakes Region Community Developers, HOMEteam and Grappone Automotive Group announced the first graduate of Take the Wheel NH — a program offered to low- to moderate-income families in need of a reliable, fuel-efficient vehicle. The program’s first graduate received a 2019 Nissan Rogue from Grappone Automotive Group with credit counseling and financing provided by HOMEteam and FSB, respectively.
