
1. Congresswoman Annie Kuster, D-2nd Dist., joined executives of Hitchiner Manufacturing and ReVision Energy to tour the Milford facility and discuss its solar energy investments, including ReVision’s recent installation of a 510-kilowatt solar array at the facility.
2. The Manchester Fire Department was recently awarded a grant by the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation at the Firehouse Subs location on South Willow Street in Manchester. The $8,240 grant award will be used to purchase two winch kits, two mounting brackets and six power tool adaptors, which will be used to replace outdated tools.
3. Filotimo Casino recently awarded the New Hampshire Fire Service Committee of Merit a check totaling nearly $68,000, a result of a 10-day participation by the nonprofit with the charitable gaming casino. Shown presenting the award is Filotimo owner Dick Anagnost, at left.
4. Austyn Shea and Rich Frizzell of Milestone Engineering & Construction, Concord, look over plans for Makers Mill with architect Leslie Benson of Leslie Benson Designs of Portland, Maine. Makers Mill, the first dedicated makerspace in Carroll County, is getting closer to opening.
5. The Team at Legacy Mechanical Services, Concord, recently donated their time to install a new water heater to the Boys & Girls Club of Manchester’s Camp Foster in Bedford. The water heater was donated by The Granite Group, with facilitation by territory representative Shane Glennon. Camp Foster offers inner-city children from Manchester an outdoor camp where they can experience activities ranging from swimming and fishing to arts and STEM projects.

Wells Fargo has awarded $15,000 to SENH Habitat for Humanity to help more families in Portsmouth access affordable housing, including the Pires family, shown here with Marcie Bergan, executive director of SENH Habitat. The Pires family will become the official owners of the organization’s newest home in Middleton.
7. Gov. Chris Sununu was among those on hand at a ribbon-cutting to celebrate the opening of Foxx Life Sciences’ new headquarters in Londonderry. Foxx CEO Thomas Taylor (holding a pair of scissors) led the festivities. The ceremony also celebrated the opening of another new Foxx Life Sciences facility in Hyderabad, India.
