1. Howard Brodsky, co-founder, chairman, and CEO of CCA Global Partners, delivers commencement address at University of New Hampshire Manchester on Saturday May 22. Brodsky was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters for his leadership, inspiration to others and commitment to making the world a better place by improving the lives of people in New Hampshire.

2. Catholic Medical Center’s New England Heart & Vascular Institute (NEHVI) has recently introduced several cutting-edge procedures for various cardiovascular conditions, in many cases making it the first site in New England, and in one instance the country, to offer these technologies, which include Convergent procedure for AFib patients, Watchman device for patients at risk of stroke, the Shockwave Coronary IVL System and enrolling patients in the NEwTON AF study to evaluate the new IntellaNav StablePoint ablation catheter to treat patients with intermittent AFib. 3. The Born To Run Foundation made its 13th prosthesis donation to 24-year-old Courtney Pabst of East Patchogue, N.Y. Noelle Lambert, founder of The Born To Run Foundation, presented Courtney with her new below-the-knee prosthetic running blade at the Foundation’s Golf Tournament at the Lochmere Golf and Country Club in Tilton, NH, on June 4. The Born to Run Foundation made its first donation in December 2018, two years after college athlete and founder Noelle Lambert, 23, of Manchester, NH, lost her left leg in a moped accident on Martha’s Vineyard.

Catholic Charities NH has acquired Greenlandbased New Generation, which provides shelter, transitional housing and a variety of support programs for pregnant women, single mothers and children facing homelessness. 5. M2 Mechanical Field Manager James Kiessling shows VFW Post 5791 Commander Christina Madden the new donated air “scrubber.” Ahead of Memorial Day, the Exeter-based HVAC company donated the air filtration system to the Veterans Hall in Hudson, which is a popular Bingo spot. The unit can clean 8,300 square feet using three state-of-the-art patented methods: HEPA, UVA and Needlepoint Ionization.

6. Earlier this month, the building housing Catholic Charities NH’s Our Place program in Manchester was dedicated as the new Trudy’s Center for Family Support, in honor of Gertrude (Trudy) Dutile, who passed away in 1999 at the young age of 59, thanks to a legacy gift made in her honor to support the many women and children served through various Catholic Charities NH programs. More than 30 friends and family celebrated the occasion.
