WHAT: State Street Music and ConcordTV are partnering with CATCH Neighborhood Housing to record and share a virtual concert to spread joy and raise funds for CATCH Neighborhood Developments in Merrimack County, while being home for the holidays. WHAT: Hear from Martin Toe about Granite State Organizing Project’s Housing Jubilee Campaign in New Hampshire. Toe will discuss debt jubilee, an established way of resetting economies that are burdened by excessive personal and collective debt. With nearly half of all renters spending more than 30% of their income on housing costs and more than a quarter paying more than 50% of their income on housing costs, new solutions will be necessary as the state’s economy recovers after the Covid-19 pandemic.

STAY WORK PLAY ADVOCACY COMMITTEE

WHAT: With meetings open to one and all, the Advocacy Committee monitors and studies state legislation that could affect young people staying in, or leaving, New Hampshire. The committee makes recommendations to the Stay Work Play Board of Directors as to pieces of legislation on which the organization should advocate. Once recommendations are adopted, the committee assists in promoting Stay Work Play’s positions.
