Joseph A. Doiron has been named state workforce development director, overseeing the Department of Business and Economic Affairs’ Office of Workforce Opportunity, overseeing and advancing state workforce development strategies. That includes managing programs in partnership with the state Department of Employment Security, Department of Education, Community College System and others.

Doiron most recently served as deputy director of the Governor’s Emergency Relief and Recovery office.
