
1. 2. Arthur Sullivan of Brady Sullivan presents a $100,000 donation to Catholic Medical Center Executive Vice President/COO Alex Walker. The Manchester-based property management and development firm, headed up by Shane Brady and Arthur Sullivan, recognized CMC’s commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality healthcare to the community. The gift will help CMC grow that commitment as it moves into the next phase of a campus expansion project. In recognition of the gift, CMC will name one of the new building’s cardiac catheterization labs in honor of Brady Sullivan.
3. Last month, a donation of more than $62,000 was presented to the New Hampshire Food Bank, thanks to participants of the 11th annual Harvest Golf Classic at the Manchester Country Club’s golf course. The event was as successful as past years, speaking to Granite Staters’ generosity during hard times.
4. Employees from The Home Depot in Manchester collected and donated $100 worth of gift certificates and 700 pounds of food donations to the New Hampshire Food Bank this month.
5. The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester announced Peter and Maureen Janelle have received its prestigious Wheelock-Nardi Advocacy Award. Both Peter and Maureen were 35-year career employees of The Mental Health Center. Maureen worked as a psychiatric nurse and clinical case manager until her retirement in 2015, and was instrumental in the launch of The Center’s Medicated Services Program. Peter once served as the CEO of The Mental Health Center and led many new initiatives. They will be honored Oct. 28.
6. The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester is honoring the Crisis Intervention Team of the Manchester Police Department with its 2020 Community Leadership Award. The team is an innovative approach to improve outcomes, particularly for officers acting as a first responder when encountering a mental health crisis by identifying health resources for those in crisis and ensuring officer and community safety.
7. The New Hampshire Food Bank received 106 pounds of food donations thanks to New Hampshire resident, Isabel, who requested donations in lieu of gifts for her 11th birthday.
8. NH Wildlife Federation hosted a successful dream hunt for eight-year-old Dylan and his family. Dylan utilized a brand-new Ruger firearm from Morse Sporting Goods and was dressed with gear from Bass Pro Shop, which allowed him to harvest a bull moose at 686 pounds. The dream hunt allows two New Hampshire residents 21 years old or younger who are fighting or have fought a life-threatening illness to go on a fully guided hunt in New Hampshire.
