Franklin Savings Bank made a $2,500 to the Liberty House’s Mission Renovate & Restore campaign, which aims to raise $250,000 ($500,000 in total thanks to an anonymous match donor) to renovate the future home of Liberty House, located on Orange Street in Manchester. 2. Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association reimagined its 11th annual Passion for Caring event into a continuous, two-week, virtual campaign due to the ongoing pandemic. The campaign features Concord Regional VNA’s first-ever online auction, which launched on Aug. 20, and is live through Sept. 4 at crvna.org/passionforcaring.
3. Bow residents Kathleen and Bill Ames were honored by Concord Regional VNA for their longtime support. Kathleen served 12 years on the board of trustees, including two years as board chair, and Ben has volunteered with the organization since 2018, in addition to being a financial supporter.

5. The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester was recently designated as a Recovery Friendly Workplace. Led by Governor Chris Sununu, New Hampshire’s “Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiative” promotes individual wellness by empowering workplaces to provide support for people recovering from substance use disorder. 6. Brian Lamontagne, branch manager of Franklin Savings Bank’s Gilford office, presents Suzanne L. Demers, director of elder services at Community Action Program Belknap-Merrimack Counties, Inc., and Jennifer Ho-Sue, program manager of ServiceLink, with a $2,500 donation from the bank to support the Grandparents Program. The program assists grandparents with providing basic needs for their grandchildren for whom they have become guardians.
7. Nancy Phillips Associates, an Exeter firm that specializes in sales, acquisitions and evaluations of franchised automobile dealerships throughout the Northeast, orchestrates sale of Middleburybased Denecker Chevrolet to Mackey Auto Group of New York and Vermont. The dealership will now be known as Middlebury Chevrolet.
8. Girls Inc. participant Jaihliani Ortiz and Karen Billings, vice president of program development at Girls Inc., thank participating golfers for their support. Girls Inc. of New Hampshire raised more than $51,000 at its second annual Granite State Golf Challenge on Aug. 10 at the Nashua Country Club. All proceeds will go toward helping Girls Inc. continue its mission of inspiring girls during the Covid-19 pandemic.
